Dude might just be my new favorite rider. That had to be one of the best interviews of all time! Love how a guy would rather work a job and grind instead of asking for help and starting a Gofundme like J-Loser. Get a fucking job!
I agree. The guys asking for fans to donate so they can get to the next race is awful......but they wouldn't do it if people weren't paying.
Asking if they want to support your racing is different than expecting people to give you money because you exist.
It's a fine line and takes humility and appreciation to understand the difference.
I liked Rodbell's interview too, seems like he has a good perspective on life.
A certain rider has been hitting it up hard on X lately, I can see a first or second year privateer, but someone that’s been at it as long as him comes off wrong

I've always been a Rodbell fan, but his likeability is peaking right now.
4th at a SX on Saturday night, back to work on Monday at 5am. Meanwhile dudes are living at training facilities and missing the night show.
Huge respect for his hustle, killer attitude and abilities on a motorcycle. Dude doesn't take himself or the sport too serious.
I loved his response to Matthes when he asked why not go all in or be out. Rodbell's response was basically: "what am I supposed to do, sit at home and wish I was racing?". I feel like Steve had a hard time wrapping his head around that.
Very refreshing. Dude's a badass all the way around.
