Eli should go back to Kawi

I’m actually shocked people aren’t on board with this. He went three straight on a Kawi. His best Beast Mode rides were on a Kawi. Bring him...

Eli is at the end of his career, it makes sense. Chad went back to Yamaha in 16 when there weren’t many options left. Coop went back to Yamaha.

If Star low balls him, why wouldn’t he hit up Kawi to see what their # is? Is a Hydro clutch (that he won titles with) worth taking a bath of a few hundred K?

If Star is low balling Tomac and Sexton goes to Kawi...KTM should make a serious offer to Eli.

I think he values Ricki Gilmour more than a cable clutch or bike width or anything like that. I would be surprised to see him go elsewhere at this point in his career.

He doesn’t work with Rick anymore. After Rick started helping Coop Eli clipped him. (According to Matthes)

coop moved up to the 450 when Yamaha was under the full factory umbrella & staff , coop came back under star , completely different program & staff & Chad from my understanding still had some good relationships over there , kawi its stil the same ppl , same program, Eli strikes me as a guy who’s very particular in his program & bike setup, manz is not going back into a workplace where he felt they wasent meeting him halfway on certain shit

Yeah, but the same people fund the star 450 effort and the old factory team. If the high ups at Yamaha didn’t want coop, he wouldn’t be at star.

Anderson to Club is a good landing spot for him. JCoop is a really interesting one to me. Ktm seems full with Vialle and AP. Star will be super full and JCoop deserves to be the A rider somewhere. Gasgas for JCoop maybe since Barcia is leaving??

According to the latest MattyB video, Husqvarna is making a push for Jo Shimoda, they’re just trying to figure out their budget. Total conspiracy theory but with RJ slated to move up, it sounds like KTM might drop the GasGas altogether and run 2 Husqvarnas. I certainly hope it doesn’t work out with GasGas not being in the fold, just theres been rumblings of KTM dropping one of their manufacturers.

I thought Jo hit certain performance clauses in his contract that gave him an automatic extension into next year with Honda, same with Hymas.

I thought eli knew from the beginning that gilly was going to be working with everyone once coop joined.

I’m not arguing that. I’m simply saying that factory Yamaha is still funding the star 450 effort and that if they had a problem with coop or how he left they wouldn’t be funding his current contract with star. It wasn’t a comment of disagreement or agreement with you, simply an added comment.

This is correct yamaha still cuts the checks.  Star funds the 250 team. Yamaha funds the 450 team

I would love to see triumph go all in on J Coop. To me he has to be one of the best picks of the bunch.

Good starter, rarely gets injured, is strong throughout the whole moto, is killing it indoors and is fast outdoors. His one lap speed is incredible. Just need to figure out skimming whoops in a 450 main.

But his passing through the pack is not good. If he starts top 3 he’s fine but rarely does he blitz through the field

You just described 90% of the field.

Coop wouldn’t be on a Yamaha if it was a factory bike with Keith McCarthy (spelling) running the show.

People saying he hasn't had the same success since leaving kawi. Immediately won indoors and out. Got hurt with a title in the bag no fault of his or the bikes. Then let's be honest eli had a pretty good shot of it this had he not dragged his leg. It's not like he is struggling in any way. Just a little bad luck.

AP all but confirms he is with ktm for 26 on pulp.  Said he isn’t sure if he can say yet but he is very happy about where he will be riding next year. It was obvious ktm.

So Pier Mobility has AP, and RJ on 450s for next year. If Tom wins the championship that would make him a 3rd as its well know they are keeping him either way. It’s getting full for them if they downsize as expected.

I think I heard it on Pulp, they’re called Accelerator clauses and I think it was if Jo and Chance get X amount of podiums or wins in the season then they’re automatically renewed.

AP signing back up with KTM has to mean they know chase is likely leaving. KTM wouldn't have to settle anything with AP right now and could have let the Vialle situation and the 450 title/chase contract play out first if they wanted to, but they didn't...... they know....

I personally think Chase going to Kawi is a disaster waiting to happen. They are strict with bike changes, when Chase wants something they better give it like KTM giving him KYB inserts. I still can't believe they even allowed that...

I just don't see Kawi loosening up. How many people have left the team disgruntled? Millsaps, Reed, Villo, maybe Ando?
