In the market for knee braces. I’ve always wanted the Mobius x8 but $650 is a little steep for me. I see on there website they have a new model called the x8h for only $200. I can’t seem to find any reviews of them online. Anyone try them?

I use regular x8's with no complaints other than they get hot in the summer  , they're calling the new ones  knee " support " not braces and I would think $200 may be a little steep for what I can see

I asked a question a few weeks ago and got accused of astroturfing. Why can we not ask about products?? I don't get it...

I had to Google Astroturfing !

the deceptive practice of presenting an orchestrated marketing or public relations campaign in the guise of unsolicited comments from members of the public.

I have the X8, love them!   The cable strap really keeps this brace in place while you are riding; no having to pull the brace up. And the whole brace frame really provides solid protection from bottom to top.

Most competitor's models slide down your leg a little while riding.

I have had CTI, Asterisk, and others.

if you are military or retired military Mobius has a very good discount… better than most, as does Gaerne… like a VERY generous one, just email them an ask!

Just finished my first ride (2 hours of trail) with the x8 hybrid. I have previously worn cheap knee guards but these are my first “braces.” They feel very supportive and won’t let my knees lock out. They also feel relatively stable side to side, though I’m sure full braces would do better. They are pretty comfy and I forgot they were there for most of the ride. They don’t pinch my pants at all and don’t feel overly hot. I grip the bike pretty tight with my legs and I felt no difference doing it with the braces. You do lose some mobility, but my guess is these are less inhibiting than the regular x8’s. I definitely feel safer riding with these and I’m glad I purchased them.

Thank you for the real world feedback. This is what I was looking for.

Braces are expensive, but so is a knee injury. Also why I only asterisk, and unlike most, it is becaise of the anti rotation tethers. Dudes wearing braces without still get twisting injuries. Use the tethers and cinch the hell out of every strap. They will loosen as all do. Asterisk will rebuild for cheap too
