So you won’t buy a Suzuki because they haven’t put a starter motor on their bikes?

But you will buy Kawasaki even though they won’t give the fans what they want by sending bikes to the MXoN!

I find the Kawasaki snub of the MXoN a bit of an ‘up-yours’ to the fans.

But I guess you could draw a conclusion that if they own Camelbak and Camelbak donated to the Sierra Club then yes they are.

I should back up a little, since I didn't know that Camelbak had been purchased. It's been a long time since I learned that they were Sierra Club donators. That may have changed, given the ownership. (Then again, the parent company may not even care.)

To further my retraction, check out this article from the Sierra Club which actually lambasts Vista Outdoors for being pro-2A:
https://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/don-t-want-your-outdoor-recreation-dollars-go-to-vista-outdoors-and-gun-manufacturers

Maybe Camelbak and the Sierra Club aren't such good friends anymore.

I wonder if that's why Vista sold their outdoor brands to a different ownership group than it sold its ammunition brands.  https://vistaoutdoor.com/about/

I wasn’t aware that Vista had divested their companies, I am only aware of them because the owned two companies locally (Stone Glacier, Simms) and had been in talk with other outdoor companies in the area.

I’ve been using Quad Lock on my bicycles for awhile now. I had a warranty issue with my iPhone case and contacted the customer service department and they took care of me and had a replacement sent out. I thanked them and also said I am an avid motorcyclist and SX enthusiast and thanked them for supporting the sport that has been my passion for over 30 years. I wasn’t expecting anything since he was just a CS rep but i just felt compelled to say something. To my surprise I received an email from them thanking me for being a customer and follower of their sponsored teams with a 20% coupon code… I though that was pretty cool!

This is a subject that requires some critical thought.
Because not all companies involved in Moto support the sport. In fact they funnel bucks, they portion bucks into marketing to create the illusion that their product is worth the massive inflated costs of those products. They pay big bucks to top riders, but trickle little to the core of the sport, core lap it up, pay said big bucks, and the corporation press repeat. Corporation investers take the profit ultimately.
Say 100% company, as an example, disappeared from the market, how would that actually affect the industry apart from a few employees, and a few Professional riders being free for a goggle deal. The media would need to change their tack for income stream a little. Maybe a few Chinese, Vietnamese companies have a smaller turnover..

This applies to many companies. They give tonnes of free product to Pro’s for free but none to consumer. BUT  the consumer pays for that free stock for Pro’s, and their waged infact.

In the end they make the sport more expensive in my opinion.

Definitely don't spend your money on anything made by Sierra Nevada brewing, they donate to the Sierra Club.

Thanks for that info! I love their Torpedo IPA, it's my go to craft beer. But I'll be switching to another brand now.

F**k the Sierra Club.

Doesn’t the owner of Gatorback own SLR rifleworks? I’m pretty sure there’s some type of connection between the two.

This has to be the worst take on Vital maybe ever.  What exactly would you like 100% for example to "give" to the core?  The sell products for moto and other sports and marketing is to showcase those products.  If they left the sport, those products would not be available.  In their case, they actually do support plenty of core.....they sponsor our junior development cycling team for example.

I am unaware about Gatorback but I see their banners all the time and have seen their sponsor logo on gear before. Very cool if they do.
