As if there's not enough bickering on the boards already, gonna cast this one on out there.

Texas was once its own nation, as the Republic of Texas. Puerto Rico is it's own country, however it is an Unincorporated Territory of the US, meaning that Barry O is still President, and the US Congress is its Federal Legislative Branch (basically a US State) Puerto Rico has its own team, why can't Texas?

Pastrana rode for Puerto Rico, his father was born in PR and that made him elgible to race for them, yet he was born in Maryland. If Team Texas fielded riders born and raised here, would the higher ups allow it?

A possible team of Kyle Cunningham, Blake Wharton, and the Sheriff, Josh Demuth.

Born in Michigan, Oklahoma, and Kansas respectively.

No previous username for me, I've got nothing to hide! Just a lurker on these boards, it kills time at work!

Would any American state be able to beat Team Europe -

Say Musquin, Pourcel and Cairoli?

Or The B Team - Roczen, Nagl and Desalle?

I knew you would make your way in here and somehow jack my thread.

This is about Texas, Puerto Rico, and the MXoN Teams from USA and PR... Not about some other state that could beat Europe!

Well, if we're talking about people that live in the state you can add Dungey to the list.

Here you go with the mythical country of Europe again. It does not exist! Get over it.

"Team World" would still not beat team U.S.A There is no better combo of riders than RV, Stewart, and Dungey. That must piss you off. And they are all still young!

Maybe Bush could be the team leader. Then they could protest for WMD's (thats a 350 that is really a 460). And then they could declare VICTORY when they loose. Sweet.

Don't normally respond to postings, however this is to DirtyFilter75...Do you know Kyle? You speak of 3 more lappers on the track. Are you for real? Kyle may get lapped on occassion but sometimes he is the one doing the lapping. He is fast enough to have a pro ride...how about you? It is a ride he earned through hard work and sacrifice. He is a good kid, determined and dedicated to the sport, consistently trying to improve his stats, and just ask VMS -- he is for sure a team player. Guess you "pushed" my buttons so I felt the need to respond...remember what your momma told you, "if you can't say something nice about someone you don't really know then maybe you should say nothing at all". Again, maybe I took this too personally and it really should not matter -- but as a MOTHER (his), I just felt that it was unwarranted. As a mom it upsets me to see comments like this being said about someone that you probably don't even know. Guess I can get down off of my soap box now, but thanks for letting me have my say. We mom's always feel the need to "protect" our own.

I do not see in my post where I said anything bad about Kyle. I know he has speed and he is an up and coming racer. Other than that all I have to base my statement on are results. You know and I know that at this point he is not running the pace of AC, CR22, or RD5. At least not for a whole moto. The Idea of a texas team is absurd and STUPID that was the point of my comment. I was not trying to trash riders. I have met and raced against Demuth a number of times and he has been cool and he ALWAYS beat me. I would be just another lapper out there myself. Therefore I would think it a bad idea to go. The point of my statement was putting 3 more bikes out there that won't be competing for the win is stupid!

I wish you and your son the best and I hope he gets a good ride and improves his results. I also love to see when a MOTO mom comes to her childs defense. That proves that you love your son and support his life's work. Kyle Cunningham has a new fan!

DirtyFilter75...it is what it is, I guess. You are correct, he might not be running the pace at this time for a full moto, but he is showing those "flashes of brillance" -- just need two consecutive motos for the boy. You must admit, though, that there are others far more experienced in this sport that are running "behind" Kyle. All I can do is encourage him to keep practicing and perfecting his performance...you know, take away something from each race that moves him forward in his goal of winning the next one. You and I both know there would be no Texas team, and even if there were...I believe Kyle is the only "true" Texan on the list. Thank you for acknowledging my intent to protect my own...as I said, it is a mother's instinct. Thanks also for the best wishes, I know Kyle is working hard towards obtaining a ride for next year and...glad to know he has a new fan. Look forward to seeing you at the races :o)

I have a son and he is struggling to say the least in the amateur ranks. Those flashes of Brilliance excite me!

Good Luck and like I said I was not attacking any of the rider but rather the post itself!

For sure, "brillance" is exciting to watch -- again for Kyle, we just need to put it all together (you notice I say "we" like I am on the bike with the kid). Good luck to your son, as well, I look forward to being a fan of his as he moves forward in the sport. Amateur racing is "rough" but I sure do miss it sometimes. Just remember, dad, to interject "positivity" into what might sometimes be a negative performance...with that type of encouragement, your son will surely stay grounded as well as excited about racing (my opinion). Again, good luck -- hope to see him race sometime.
