I'll look in a minute Bill ...

Ok ... 1:18am CDT ... yup she's cool Bill. Neighbors wife walked over only lit by her laptop, she's working, and scared the hell out of me. Thanks again for the literal heads up.

Supposed to be partially visible over here in about 2 hours. Only downside is it's still light out. I think our Aussie bros are supposed to have a front row seat, though.

I got up and checked it out. It looked like 2 moons overlapping for awhile at first. Was so clear out here and definitely an interesting view as it changed.

Yep it did.  We got up at 2 :15 and watched it progress. Pretty damn cool.   We were able to see the comet that blew by us last summer, too . That was really a remarkable sight.

There was supposed to be that plus Space Weather was calling for active aurora in the sky last night around the same time... while we were under a heavy snowfall warning and completely socked in...

aaah dang, A for effort. I saw it starting when I made that post, woke up a few hours later when it was supposed to be in full swing, went outside and...100% overcast. ๐Ÿคจ

Yeah, I got my wife a star tracker for her camera for her birthday back in December and it's basically been cloudy every night there's been something to shoot since. Had this one checked off for months. Oh well, what the hell.

It's so dark at our farm in the middle of nowhere and the night sky is amazing. I was lucky to have grown up with parents that enjoyed astrology. They would take my sister and i way offshore to stargaze often and so many beautiful skies sailing through the nights on long trips my whole life.
