Sure Cairoli wins on it so would RC, Stewart and a few others. That doesn't mean it's an advantage like all the proponents think.
Bye the way I like MX-Pure they aren't a key in the propaganda machine of a well know promoter and they got the courage to write critical articles about some well know promoters but thats everyones own opinion

Yamaha Motor Europe and KTM Sport Motorcycles have issued a statement after current World Champion and Tony Cairoli and former World Champion David Philippaerts failed to be selected for the Italian Motocross of Nations team due to a jersey sponsorship dispute with their teams and the Italian Motorcycle Federation.
In the statement both manufacturers were united in their commendation of the federations decision to not select Cairoli or Philippaerts due to the manufacturers wishing to be featured on the Italian team jersey.
"Yamaha Motor Europe and KTM Sport Motorcycles were disappointed to learn of the press release on Saturday 7th August by the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) revealing that Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team's David Philippaerts and Red Bull KTM's Tony Cairoli have been unable to be considered for the final selection for the team due to certain conditions to represent their country in the 2010 Motocross of Nations at Thunder Valley in Colorado on September 26th," the statement read.
"After discussions with the Italian Federation, in which Yamaha Motor Europe and KTM Sport Motorcycles were willing and fully open for negotiation regarding representation on the official Italian team jersey, we were disappointed to learn that 2008 MX1-GP World Champion Philippaerts and reigning MX1-GP World Champion Cairoli (presently 3rd and 1st in the 2010 standings respectively) were eliminated from the final short-list.
"We would like to clarify that both riders are available but the condition of FMI that there will be no space allowed at all for the manufacturer or its sponsors on the front of jersey is not acceptable to both Yamaha and KTM.
"The FMI was only prepared to open two tiny spaces on the sleeve of each jersey and despite several efforts from Yamaha and KTM a compromise for a frontal space was not reached. Yamaha and KTM had already accepted for the FMI to decide the base color and to add their own sponsors on the jersey, if not in conflict with existing team partners.
"Discussions of this nature are not unusual for the Motocross of Nations with many riders, teams, brands and companies represented by the three best riders from each country around the globe coming together under one umbrella.
"For virtually all other countries a compromise as proposed by Yamaha and KTM is considered very much acceptable for all parties involved. Other countries allow the riders to use their regular GP clothing without or virtually without any modification.
"Manufacturers and title sponsors/partners finance a whole season of international and national racing activities up to and including the Motocross of Nations; this includes staff, infrastructure, technical support and development, all at considerable cost. In our opinion visible manufacturer and sponsor br anding is a necessary requirement to allow top athletes to continue to represent their teams and importantly shine and bring positive attention for their respective nationalities at the very highest level.
Work it out.
Its a big loss not having Cairoli. Would the Italians even have a team without those two? I mean, why bother even sending anyone else?
Just make the jersey a flag and put the logos on top so you can read them, but still identify it as an Italian flag...problem solved.
I don't understand why Giuseppe can't invent a way around this.
The Italian Federation told Yamaha & KTM that they cannot have their logos on the front of the Italian team jerseys. However, they offered up a small place on the sleeve for DP's Yamaha logo and AC's KTM logo. Yamaha & KTM were like no way....since they are paying for DP & AC to compete at the MXdN.
The Italian Federation is flexing their muscles and probably doing more harm to their country/federation then they are doing good.
It's bullshit if you ask me....
Wild speculation says that somebody go their feelings hurt. In the end, its motocross that suffers.
I'm as confused as I am when having to buy an unlimited Sports and AMA membership.
And their way of thinking from what I can tell is...
These riders are representing their county/federation,they will wear what we tell them and *if their sponsors don't agree ,then Tough merda!
They dont care if we dont have the best there!
And it's not that we never had sponsors on the shirt... Fiat supported the team many times.
Since FIAT obviously paid to have his name on the jersey they think tha yamaha and KTM should do the same.
This Year shirt from KTM
France last Year
If it`s true then it`s a biggest bullshit of the century.
Pit Row
I was really looking forward to seeing Cairoli & Philippaerts on a US track again.
Not to mention seeing how Dungey did against Tony this year.
What a LOSS for motocross fans all around the World!
Don't take this post too serious ;-)
Everyone here do you got a EMAIL : info@federmoto.it
Send there a mail a polite mail and say them there are a disgrace for the sport!
I basically told them it was an insult and a slap in the face to fans all over the world and they should really rethink what they doing...
It would be cool if everyone reading this dropped them a mail.
Who knows....they may rethink their selves.
Even if we have sex we think about Motocross we are die hards and we need to put those bureaucrats straight! And not only the Italian federation but KTM/Yamaha all those gigantic pocket filling companies need to realize that when we puke them out they are done!
Sooh! Let Cairoli and Phillipearts ride! Bloody ITALIAN AND BUREAUCRATIC IDIOTS!
Post a reply to: MXON: POURCEL WILL RIDE FOR FRANCE, but Italy drop Cairoli and Philippaerts !
