Just thought I'd start a thread for talking about LL's results this week. Maybe we can keep the discussions in just a couple threads. Here's my take on what I saw from just looking at #'s and results. It's amazing how watching #'s can almost make you feel like you were there.

Looks like Gannon Audette came to play this year. Winning both his 250A and 450 pro sport moto's . Looks like he and Trettle started together and Audette just yarded him in 250 A. In the 450 pro sport Audette started in 4th and ended up passing Paluzzi on the last lap when Paluzzi crashed. Spangler holeshotted but looks to have faded to 3rd by the end.

Justin Starling must of eaten his wheeties this morning.. 24th at the end of lap one in 250A and the kid charged up to 7th at the end.. In pro sport he went from 16th to 9th. Looks like if he could get his starts worked out he could battle for top 3's. Great ride.

In 250 pro sport Jason Anderson only won by 24 sec.. So disappointing ..W00t Looks like Andersons 450 A domination wont start til tomorrow.

Reynard was impressive today w/a 4th in 450 pro w/a pretty bad start and he smoked the 25 plus class. Running 2:01's

In B Bogle started 3rd and passed Politelli on lap 6 and yarded him by 20 sec by the end. Bogle has been flying this year and should be A. His 2:02 lap times are proof of that.

From loking at the lap times the race of the day was in 450 B mod between Joey Peters and Chris Plouffe . They battled the whole moto with Peters winning by a huge margin of .171 of a sec.. Shocked .171 would basically mean Peters transponder was an inch ahead of Plouufe. Maybe Plouffe's mechanic should move the transponder up a 1/4 inch for next moto.

Looks like Kieth Johnson took it to LL's superstar Walker in plus 35 with NW boy (well old man) Dan Moore in 3rd. Moore in 3rd was over a min behind Walker..lol Walker and Johnson look to be sandbagging this year.

The Dr handled plus 45 easily

Mr Oregon Chris Alldredge spanked the 85 12-14 class by 25 sec.. Yeah Boyyyyy!!

In super mini 13-16 it looks like AC had Cooper web covered but a crash took him back to second..AC ran a lap time of "2:05!!!" . That's right a 2:o fckin 5!! That's 4 sec faster then 3rd place in 250A pro sport. AC is incredible and was obviously trying to start the week out proving a point to Cooper. In the end Cooper proved AC probably should have slowed down a little.. Coopers best time was 4 sec slower than Adam's time but good enough for the win. Coopers fast time was 2:09

In schoolboy 1 Mitchell Oldenburg holeshotted and got away just enough to stay in front of Joey Savatgy who charged friom 15th to 2nd by the end. I think if Savatgy gets a start he's gone.

In Schoolboy 2 Savatgy won but only because Covington started in 7th. Those two had a serious battle the last three laps though.

This is going to be a fun week to watch online. Always is.

People who haven't seen top supermini riders live just can't comprehend how fast they really are. So rather than comprehend they cry foul. Once you go and see a AM national live you quickly realize kids like Cooper webb,AC and the rest of the top 5 could/would show up to most any local track and stomp the 250 pro class on their superminis no problem. They're that fast. It's amazing to watch. They're wide open everywhere..

That's why allot of the top kids like RV are battling for national pro titles within 2 years of getting off superminis.

I read an interview w/Albertyn where he makes it clear he had to actually try to stay with RV. I'm sure not his hardest but if a guy who won world and ama titles says he even has to try a little it says RV was hauling balls on his supermini.

I just want to say congrats to my next door neighbor Gracie Vanhorn who got 5th overall in the girls class as a 12yr old. Great job kid!

I know yanks. I found that post hilarious. So he gets his bikes from a dealer.. I guarantee once it left the dealer anything and everything within the rules that can be done to that 150f to make it better was done. That bike sounds like a 250f when it's on the revs. I'm not saying it's not a 150f and I'm sure it is. It's by far the best sounding 150f I've ever heard and probably pretty close to being as fast as a stock 250f. Like I said before nobody in the top 5 has anywhere close to a stock bike. I keep hearing to that AC's bikes are way better than anyone's bikes but I'd lay money down that Cooper's bike is way faster than AC's.

I'm not taking anything away from Cooper or anyone. I think they're all on unbelievable (probably very comparable) equipment and they're all fast as hell. I think each and every kid out there battling for titles earned the rights to have the best equipment out there. Those kids (especially with cooper still being in public school) have worked there asses off with blood , sweat, and tears to get to the level they're at. The drive and dedication it takes to go that fast is more than most can even comprehend and all the haters saying this kid or that kid was handed this or that are sadly mistaken IMHO. It's funny seeing grown men type posts riddled with jealousy of a 12 yr old boy..W00t

Why is that odd. I would bet that AC sells more 85cc Kawasakis then most factory pros. Kids pay more attention to what someone like AC is riding more than someone like Ryan Dungey. I guarantee there's 1000's of kids that wasnt a kawasaki because they're fans of AC. I know growing up I wanted to be Eric Kehoe, Bruce Bunch, George Holland , and guys like that when they were on 80's more than I wanted to be some top level national pro. If it didn't make financial sense for Kawasaki and monster to exhaust some budget on AC they wouldn't do it.

So to answer your question , I would say no I don't find it odd. AC is worth way more to kawasaki then a Daniel Reardon or a Chisolm type pro. Hell AC is probably worth almost as much to kawasaki (as far as selling bikes goes) as a RV IMO.
That's a stretch but to each his own. '

$8,000 motorcycles so the manufactures can farm 12 year olds hoping they become good pro's will never sit well with me. Not to mention it ruins the spirit of what amateur sports is all about.

I think that vid above is from Vurb...
Many times the lap camparison at LL's is misleading. While on the line for moto 1 of one our classes 250 Pro Sport or 450A it started pouring rain. Track prep was random in some sections, unless motos were ran back to back with no prep, no relevance. Not saying B wasn't faster, just saying laptimes are not always the best weathervane.

Dave, I tried to get by to introduce myself. Very many in my entourage, which left very little "me" time. I used ENGINE ICE for the first time at LL's. One of Justin's sponsor's hooked him up with a jug. It worked well, in one of his moto's his new Renthal Intellilever/Dumblever locked in a half extended state and heated the clutch until the bike wouldn't move. I didn't check the boiling point on the Ice container, it must be high because it didn't spew the "ICE" !

At Loretta Lynn's, you are practically guaranteed one of your three motos will be a scorcher, one will be a mudder, and one will be perfect. Throw out the lap times in moto-by-moto comparison because the track is constantly being worked on or rained or drying out. It makes for some very weird-looking times, where B's are faster than A's, or Minis faster than +250s, but the reality is much different.

And that David Jones who won the Vet B/C on the 125? That was pretty damn cool. He was definitely riding that thing both hard and smart.

Hey DC, this is Tim, the one legged racerdad. The hospitality and kindness for the public from your whole family at this event is off the hook. My first LL's was '83 and for me it's still the ultimate vacation.

DC, does Cotter have a tourettes thing with his middle finger? I didn't see him have any problem with his tourettes except when he was speaking directly to me, weird huh?

Congrats to Keith Johnson for his title win in 35 plus.Kevin was leading in 1st moto and went down and then after racing Doug in the 1st plus 40 moto on Wed with the heat index of 112 at 11 and then right back up at @ f2 for 2nd moto plus 35 it wasn't worth the wear and tear of his body to win that moto to jack his body up for the rest of the week! He got the holeshot in 2nd moto of plus 40 and never looked back, same with final moto of the 35 plus. He didn't want to make any mistakes in final moto of the plus 40 moto and let Doug do his thing.....It was a great week and I am happy for Kevin to finally get that 13 off his back! Congrats to David Jones for sure! He deserves alot for riding his 125 and winning and getting there on his own dime! Congrats to Robbie in Plus 25 and Doug in 45 plus! All the vet riders did awesome! Sorry Treadwell had some bad luck on the starts but finished healthy!!
