they had that last year and it was a joke......I would much rather see a 125 future stars race or even an Super mini challange cup.

No offense, but the only thing entertaining about last year's race was watching Weinert jump the start, and cut the track every lap. Honestly, it was far less entertaining than watching the women race.

It sure seemed like last years event was more of a planned failure exhibition race designed to make the 2 strokes look as bad as possible. Maybe this years event will draw a little competition.

oh thank God they will have 3, 2 strokes so we can finally prove there's going to be Anarchy.

I like 2 strokes but they are dead for now.

Wasnt there a 2 stroke race at Red Bud last year or the year before that RC won ? I remember seeing some video from that and it looked like there were some pretty fast guys in that one . Emig was supposed to race it but something happened to his bike or something like that .

Yep, it was cool seeing RC ride there, and Fro did have bike problems, so he opted not to race.

Being the overweight pig that his RM250 was, he did blow up a front wheel over Larocco's Leap during practice. Wink

Was at RedBud when RC yarded everybody so the actual racing was kind of boring, but it was cool to see him on the smoker ... also found this video from that day... [embed][/embed]

Actually, according to many Vital posters, Guy B does not ride or race enough to have a say in matters concerning anything moto related. Wink

I'd like to see 'em throw 10 250f's in there.

10 250 four strokes, 10 250 two strokes.

Straight up.

Yeah, I'd like to see that.

I love vintage racing too... It's sad some people will never know the pleasure because their bikes degrade and disintegrate so quickly they'll never qualify... But come to think of it some history isn't worth preserving, so maybe that's good. We can just get the boring racing over with right now, and the rapidly eroding bikes will make sure we never have to doze through it again...

Moving on, it did seem like announcers said the word "Vintage" a lot last year during the 2 stroke races. Even while John Dowd was out there on his Modern Frame 250, and Ricky was killing it on the RM. Funny thing about that though... People liked the 2 strokes so much that it appears last year's FMF series ignited a lot of fresh interest in the 2 stroke. So if they were trying to screen it in a sleightly negative way to make the 2 strokes seem old or less than relevent, it apparently backfired worse than a geeked out floating valve fart stroke panic revving over it's ignition map laptop and landing in it's works one off coolant catch tank....

So is this a 2 stroke race or a vintage 2 stroke race?

It's not a vintage race. It's a special exhbition race with a singe 15 minute moto. I'm sure everyone will be running the most current 2 stroke bikes available to them.

I made reference to vintage racing in the course of inuendo.

Thanks,

Jim

I was just wondering because others made reference to vintage racing.
