I know old Mr Shakey is still learning how to fly that thing but being 400ft above the stadium doesn't make for good footage.  How about get some cameras for the privateer bikes and give them some money for being out there getting the footage?

The drone is awesome. I've been watching supercross a looooong time and I've never seen POV like the Glendale round when Tomac and Roczen were sending that booter over the start straight. It looked like a video game but it was real.

No...keep the drone. I think they are doing an awesome job with the drone. I also saw they use drones on Red Bull MTB racing with great results. Getting to see thing that never were possible before. How about we ban stupid threads.

The drones are an upgrade but a go-pro type camera on each rider is the real shit.

The drone has made a lot of progress. I do like some of the footage, but they were using it way too much outdoors last year. It started making me nauseous when I watched the race

Yeah, the drone is good when used sparingly.

the ama banned helmet mounted camera's which the SX series used pick out a guy to run it which on occasion got some good footage (RC wore it during a good race in 05 against reed)

it would be amazing if they could hand out a bunch cameras for riders to wear.

aside from those the drones have been a benefit to catching great footage of the racing that normal camera angles dont

Couldn't they mount cameras on the bikes?

The worst drone shot is the the start, a lot of the time it's the riders' backs and because the camera is moving with them it's hard to see how fast the bikes are going.

If they have the vantage point of a drone, why not show the front of riders on the start so we can see what's going on?

top down makes the jumps look small and underwhelming, haven't you ever sent a dick pick?  It's valentines day tomorrow, maybe try it out.

I thought they already did!? It's hard to tell the track surface from Birds Eye View. Atleast there are no ruts this year.

I hate the way they usually start with a shot from behind or on top of the riders, and then just before the gate drops they move to the front view.

I usually like to pick a particular guy to watch off the start.   (Somebody I'm interested in, or a fantasy pick.  Not always the same guy.)  So I'll find him in the shot from behind, and then they switch angles and I struggle to find him from the front before the gate drops.

...without dirt, sx and mx....  the gear fashion police issue is self-resolved.

Win win....

Bring back the spider cam. Drone shot 9/10 times isn’t good.

Drone cam is cool. It's probably cheaper to operate than the spider cam. Cameras on bikes don't work, too shaky, too much pitching, never pointed in the direction you want.

Ban the camera pointed down the line from the outside gate on the start, I want to see who got a good jump.
