People who don't stand for something will fall for anything.

Holy cow, Ger, that's the most accurate thing I've heard around here in a long time. That explains why the flunkies fall for religion. Those of us with stronger personal convictions don't need that mythical crutch!

You could move to India - they have some holy cows for you.

As for faith in self, it looks like you would desire something a bit more dependable & consistent, like the God of creation. I'll make some room for you on the bench..

Dependable and consistent? That sure doesn't describe the gods of men, including this creation god you speak of (which is just another god of man). Well, that is unless we say that god simply abides by the laws of science. :D

2) that your momma was a lemur

3) that before you had arms and legs you used to flop over to the food when it fell off of the bbq grill

I don't think a man can live a full life based on things he knows or thinks are the facts.

Anyone who has Faith or Hope in some way admits the presence of a supreme being.

Thats a pretty easy thing to say for a person who believes in a supreme being. I wish it were so easy.

I've tried multiple times to get some sort of spiritual anything in my life. Just doesnt seem to work. It never did.

The worst part for me is when a close friend or family member dies. I just cant accept the presence of any afterlife whatsoever. Most people console themselves with the thought that everybody will be back together at some point or another. That doesnt work for me. When this happens, it usually destroys me for a good couple months - nothing I can think of fixes that for me. With a close family member of mine in the hospital for the past 2 months, and no cure for anything in sight - this looks to be quite a dismal spring for me.

I realize that evolution is only a theory. It is a theory based upon physical observations, so it's a bit more than a myth. It happens to be a theory which stands up pretty well, too. It didn't fall flat on its face when DNA was discovered, which most certainly wasn't foreseen when it was devised, and turned out to be one test that could've killed it completely. In fact, DNA supports the theory.

I also realize it's a theory that can be wrong. That's where I separate from the myth believers. A Christian will pound on the table and say their god is the only, and all the others are wrong, and that their belief is infallible. Yes, you believe in a myth with blind faith. I believe in a theory which I know can be wrong.

I do know one thing, though...the Christian God is nothing more than man-made fable. The bible itself proved that.

belief in a creator is based upon the same physical observations....the belief in evolution sprang up as the only viable belief because of those who do not want accept what they see and dont want the responsibilty that goes along with having a creator....no creator! well it has to be this, there is nothing else!

life exists and it takes 2 people to make a baby......no way that process evolved!

according to the bible man was created with eternity in his mind.....thats why man has a hardtime grasping the idea that life ends at death. man feels that life should go on forever and his mind cant grasp it ending!

ecclesiastes 3:
10 I have seen the occupation that God has given to the sons of mankind in which to be occupied. 11 Everything he has made pretty in its time. [b:1x214ayr]Even time indefinite he has put in their heart[/b:1x214ayr], that mankind may never find out the work that the [true] God has made from the start to the finish. 12 I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one’s life; 13 and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God.

romans 1:
20 For his invisible [qualities] [b:1x214ayr]are clearly seen [/b:1x214ayr]from the world’s creation onward, [b:1x214ayr]because they are perceived by the things made[/b:1x214ayr], even his eternal power and Godship,

Actually, belief in the gods was based upon simple observation that resulted in flawed conclusion supported with no critical analysis. Belief in science is based upon observation and verification of the theories arrived at through repeated testing. Two entirely different animals. Your last statement is perfect proof of this. Your statement about evolution is nonsense.

so you dont believe it takes 2 people to make a baby?

now give a working way/proof/observation and verification of the theories that science has proved that that could have happened through evolution

i will help you out.....there is none!
