This thread is classic... Deegan calling out pingree and renner on twitter... Lmao!

Deegan and the metal mulisha are so fucking lame! Deegan was part of the freestyle movement, but was not the reason it got so big. IMO it was the "cool" thing to do... Acting like fools and turning their backs on racing... Meaning that deegan is thready and a follower not a "general".

If my memory serves me correctly, deegan and linkogle(sp) started the MM because they needed a platform to tell the racing community "fuck you". However, deegan bailed on original "core" concept of the MM and linkogle, because he saw link's (truly hardcore) lifestyle spinning out of control, and now deegan sell kiddie toys at walmart.

My question is WTF happened to linkogle? He represented the "I don't give a fuck" attitude with his clapped out bikes and style... Not deegan.

Yeah i've dreamt of ripping on a golf course, who hasn't!? But was it clever for someone in his position to do it, advertise it and act like it was cool???

Wow, crazy all this hatred for deegan. He is actually a good dude. A couple years ago I had a few brews with Faisst and some of the fight club guys, all good dudes. The MM creation was an awesome move. It drew a lot of attention to FMX and put mad loot into his bank account. Deegan moved from the "core" stuff and began marketing MM and banked even more loot. Like him or hate him, he has been an icon in the sport. Mad props to Deegs. He made a few mistakes and did some dumb things, but who hasn't. At least he isn't like all the fools in hollywood and the music biz with drug problems, DUIs and jail time.

Can we all agree that Ping is an overly opinionated fat kid and Deegan is a washed up rebel without a cause ? I say we set up a charity boxing match, charge 20$ at the door and donate every penny to a well deserved injured rider, while simultaneously ending this tough guy BS.

Reminds me of a story a local bmx rider told me a number of years back about Deegan being a tough guy.

Apparently Deegan and 3 or 4 other MM hoods jumped the guy following a contest (Dew Tour or Gravity Games or something similar, I forget the exact event) because they didn't like something he said about freestyle motocross.

Real tough guys.

palmer / deegan definitely happened but there was no clear winner... both got some good shots in on each other. it was in vegas - night one of the us open - 1999 i believe

I'll back Ping and Renner up. Just set up when and where Mulisha boys. And for the record, Ive met pretty much all the Mulisha guys. The only one that could beat up a junior high girl is Seth. The rest are all sticks or abour 5 feet tall. And Apple doesnt count since he isnt a rider!
