Looks like he's mostly doing off-road stuff now. Took 2nd in the Baja 1000 a few months ago if i'm not mistaken.

Who was the Japanese kid that got on the podium on a KX85? It wasn't a Monster Kawasaki, it looked like the Japanese factory bikes. I'm sure it wasn't Jo as he was on KTM's.

Good kid and family the dad worked in IndyCar! Kid was always pushing and had some bad luck with crashes. Happy to see him still ripping on a dirt bike and being successful!

Hijack #2, does anyone know where the start video is of McElrath launching over the first turn berm is? It was the All-Star race before he got picked up and he treated that berm like an FMX ramp. Had to have been 2011 or 2012. Haven't seen it since it happened but that memory is burned into my brain.

I feel like Monster cup hasn’t been a thing in 20 years… My most vivid memory from all the years was Barcia showing up on his own Honda when he didn’t have a ride, was pretty bad ass to see a guy at that level take responsibility into his own hands to get it done.

Monster Cup was really cool, I liked seeing the amateur racers and the occasional GP or non AMA rider racing it. That and the unique format makes it better than smx imo
