Yes, I got the aluminum one and I really like it. It has a small footprint and holds my bike just fine. To be honest for the prices hard to beat.

My bike just came in. I ordered a moro 05 from crowley cycles in Colorado. Shipping was 290. No tax or setup fees. They have some left if you're looking for a medium frame. I'd call to see what stock they have on the other bikes.
Shipping from PA to CA was $380. Shipped today and will be here next Wednesday.
I ordered a virtually new 2024 Fox Factory Float x2 as someone was able to mount it to their large frame. I can confirm it does not work on a medium frame. I aired the shock down and ran it through the travel on a stand. The frame hit the shock body so it rubbed the anodizing. If anyone wants to upgrade their large frame shock, PM me and I'll send over photos.

Congrats on the Tazer. Even though we just bought (and love) the Yamahas, I'm still watching other deals and may have to spring for a 2nd ride if the right buy comes along.
Several in my area have them now, so I'll be inviting them to ride our trails in Spring (maybe sooner - zero and negative temps projected for next week or so...)
Thinking about picking one up but what’s the deal with needing batteries or support in the future with Yamaha?
Yamaha is still making batteries for other bike brands from what I gather. And the frame has the warranty as well. Other than those two items, everything is easily replaceable with the same or similar aftermarket parts.
Yeh, only thing I’d worry about are battery and motor. Don’t see myself cracking a frame.
Stuff like bearings or parts for the rear suspension would be my main worry. I wonder if the derailleur hanger is UDH or proprietary as well.
Speaking of Intense bikes, I don't see the MX Pro listed as a bike any longer for 2025.

My bike got delayed because of bad weather so I don’t have it yet but have a question. I watched a review online of one and they mentioned that with the frame the way it is there is not a place to mount a water bottle. Is this true? if so have you found a workaround?

Several reviews point out the lack of bottle storage on the Yamaha. I'd think some type of hydration pack could be an alternative. We ride almost exclusively at our own place and our trails are laid out so that I'm never more than a mile from the house. We plan to start riding some other places, so I need to start looking into something also.
Anybody looking for a Morro 05 Large ( Forest Green ), basically still new. I assembled it and rode it up and down the street and it has sit here since. Never in the dirt. Have extras to include with it, Seat,pedals,bike stand, Rock Shox air pump, regular air pump and adapters, bike lock and more. Also have a new Fox Speedframe Pro Helment I will include. I hate being the guy to bump an old thread but what do you guys think about the current e bike market? This seems like we got a once in a life time deal. I kept mine about a year and ended up selling it. I've since moved to a much more rural area, I've lost about 50 pounds, and I'm really wanting to get back on an E bike. I can't find anything close to what we paid for the Yamahas. I was hoping this was the beginning of the E bike prices coming down permanently but it doesn't look like that's what happened. The Moros i'm seeing for sale used are more than what we paid new.

I would not buy a bike without the avinox motor unless a massive discount.
the market is broad. there are niche bikes that appeal more to euros than here and you might snag a deal that way. search for bike brands through your drive system supplier of choice. not everyone needs a mid drive. sometimes a hub drive can be nice.

its generally a good time buy. we're in between model years and the market is soft.
if youre going mainstream, trek is flush with inventory, makes a solid bike, and has very good US-based support. there are national chains that sell out of state like bobs in mn.
the pon brands are hot. cervelo has the most integrity. santa cruz has the most panache though theyve thrown in the towel on suspension design and gone back to a 40 year old horst link. cannondale is okay, but mismanaged.
giant is always great value for money, just make sure you have good local support bc its such a huge company.
specialized is having to swallow their pride, and they do have good resale in general, with the caveat of being outmaneuvered by dji above.
pivot is an engineer led independent with some interesting high end stuff.
ibis is a still independent out of santa cruz with some interesting moto style options.
Other boutiques like evil and forbidden also have some novel and functional suspension designs.
dont buy a fking yeti or a canyon or a yt.
transition are good.
could get a deal on a canadian brand like norco or rocky mountain maybe.
also look at qbp distributor brands like salsa. very very good value for money there for entry level stuff.
if you want shit thats gonna last but with slightly less integration and wow factor, get a shimano drivetrain (NOT necessarily a shimano motor). their cassettes and chains are made out of real metal.
fox and rock shox suspension can both be great, rockshox stuff is sorta easier to work on in a way, but also sram thinks their customers are idiots and i do not enjoy the service/support aspect as much. (fox breaks out the fiche with optional shim stacks and stuff more than RS tends to).
most midrange suspension can take upgraded damper cartridges and airsprings (or coil spring conversions!). low end shit cannot. low end suspension is the worst value in bikes because you have to throw it away when its time to do some real riding. spend a little more and get the popular fork chassis and shock body that will take upgrades (mainly the fork here).
for aftermarket suspension manitou makes awesome fking stuff. their hayes brakes are also awesome and way underrated.
brakes for serious work you want dot-based fluid. for casual stuff or cross country, mineral oil is fine, but the feel is generally worse. brakes are the easiest thing to upgrade so dont worry too much about you get in a complete. i like hope brakes alot. alot. as mentioned hayes are great too and one of the few that actually incorporate grub screws for caliper alignment. imagine that!
try to get decent wheels with modular/replaceable/upgradeable freehubs. the lowend stuff the freehubs dont really come off and cant be replaced with new spline formats when sram and shimano inevitably decide to pull the planned obsolesence card (mainly a sram thing).

Ewwww dot MTB brakes are poo's outside of Hope. I hate Hope personally, but I understand some people have weird taste - so each to their own. TRP, Sram and Shimano are the go. Or perhaps a combo, like the Traven, or my Fav, - the Shaven.
To be honest, they all have their failings, but in my shop, we had way way way way way better and more consistent results with Shimano. Not to mention the price was 4 million times better.
