Thanks, been a long time since I had a bike, so I am looking forward to getting outside more this year. Will now have to find all the goodies that go with one (helmet, shorts, etc.)  Been looking at bike work stands today so trying to decide which one to get.

Damn you Vital costing me more money Smile

I like that the footprint is somewhat small for this type of stand and it has the little work table with it

I hadn’t seen that one. Did you get the Aluminum one? It supports the e-bike ok?

The one I almost ordered last night is $100 but this one looks nice and has good reviews.

Thanks

Same here. The weathers been brutal here lately. It’s supposed to be down to -7 next week so it’s looking like it’ll be a while before I get to ride.

Yes, I got the aluminum one and I really like it. It has a small footprint and holds my bike just fine. To be honest for the prices hard to beat.

AZ35 - Where did you get your bike from?

Motoman:  What was your cost on shipping?

Park was the top brand for bike tools when I was in the business (too long ago..).  Their stands worked well, but pricey.

My bike just came in. I ordered a moro 05 from crowley cycles in Colorado. Shipping was 290. No tax or setup fees. They have some left if you're looking for a medium frame. I'd call to see what stock they have on the other bikes.

I ordered a virtually new 2024 Fox Factory Float x2 as someone was able to mount it to their large frame. I can confirm it does not work on a medium frame. I aired the shock down and ran it through the travel on a stand. The frame hit the shock body so it rubbed the anodizing. If anyone wants to upgrade their large frame shock, PM me and I'll send over photos.

I bought an Intense Tazer MX Expert from a local dealer today for $2,952 OTD(including CA tax), if anyone missed out on the Yamaha deals and is still looking

Congrats on the Tazer.  Even though we just bought (and love) the Yamahas, I'm still watching other deals and may have to spring for a 2nd ride if the right buy comes along.

Several in my area have them now, so I'll be inviting them to ride our trails in Spring (maybe sooner - zero and negative temps projected for next week or so...)

Thinking about picking one up but what’s the deal with needing batteries or support in the future with Yamaha?

Yamaha is still making batteries for other bike brands from what I gather. And the frame has the warranty as well. Other than those two items, everything is easily replaceable with the same or similar aftermarket parts.

Yeh, only thing I’d worry about are battery and motor. Don’t see myself cracking a frame.

Stuff like bearings or parts for the rear suspension would be my main worry.  I wonder if the derailleur hanger is UDH or proprietary as well.

Speaking of Intense bikes, I don't see the MX Pro listed as a bike any longer for 2025.

Likely because the program to liquidate the last of the inventory to the dealers is happening this weekend.

Riding emtb's in the winter is great and I highly recommend it. Hardly any dust, no bugs, no mud. I ride all year. Going tomorrow and it sb around 20 outside. You warm up real quickly as you pedal. I wear a backpack in the winter...keeps your back warmer. Just wear normal lightweight clothes with insulated underwear and a light jacket, nothing bulky, and you're good to go. On really cold days, like below 10 degrees, I'll wear a full face MX helmet for warmth and a heavier jacket. The Fox Defend thermal hoodie is a frigging awesome piece...well worth the price IMHO. The hood is even thin enough to easily fit under a helmet without screwing up the fit. Like I said, I don't miss riding MX at all any longer with these bikes. Easy to load, hardly any maintenance and tons of places to ride.

We don't have bugs, but it seems like it's either dust, mud, or both around here in the winter 😂

My bike got delayed because of bad weather so I don’t have it yet but have a question. I watched a review online of one and they mentioned that with the frame the way it is there is not a place to mount a water bottle. Is this true? if so have you found a workaround?

Really the only thing out there that I've found. But I don't like that location at all.

Several reviews point out the lack of bottle storage on the Yamaha.  I'd think some type of hydration pack could be an alternative.  We ride almost exclusively at our own place and our trails are laid out so that I'm never more than a mile from the house.  We plan to start riding some other places, so I need to start looking into something also.

Anybody looking for a Morro 05 Large ( Forest Green ), basically still new. I assembled it and rode it up and down the street and it has sit here since. Never in the dirt. Have extras to include with it, Seat, pedals, bike stand, Rock Shox air pump, regular air pump and adapters, bike lock and more. Also have a new Fox Speedframe Pro Helment I will include. I paid $2319 for it plus doc and shipping. I was thinking (hoping) for $2300 for everything. I am in Camarillo, CA.if anybody is still looking for a bike. Hit me up and we can talk. IMG 7122 1
