Hello group.  I have refurbished my 77 cr125 but no carb kit exists for the factory keihin unit from that year.  I understand it was basically a one year or so only model.

Re-Mx had a mikuni vm28 IIRC that would work on a 77 model but their website has been down for over a year and they won't answer email.  Mikuni would work but would need some jetting changes according to re-mx.  .

I need a carb, new or used that will work.  Recommendations welcome.  I just want it to run. It is completely refurbished.  I will post a photo in a day or so.  I'm not going to compete on it or anything of the sort.  Thanks as usual.

I will buy if someone has one for sale.

The trick I've found that works for RE-MX.com is to use Chrome to shop/order, if you use Edge or Firefox you'll never get it to work.

Also, most guys were putting 32mm Mikuni's on their 1974/75's so not sure why you want a 28mm.

The below link would get you close on jetting:

There are a few 32's on ebay, below is a link to one:

Would a Keihin PWK fit?

Thank you so much.  I'm not a much of a mechanic.  I can do the most simple projects.  That's about it.  I got 28 idea from Re-Mx.  I appreciate you helping me with this.

Hi.  I don't know. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I usually order my jets from Jets-R-Us, below is the link.  I don't use aftermarket or no name jets, only original Mikuni or Keihin.

Hi.  That one was sold.  I assume this is the same thing.  Mikuni VM round slide 32mm .  This one has left hand idle adjust.  I notice there are some Mikuni knockoffs.  This is for a vintage show bike, not for riding.  I just want it to run.  So will the knockoff work?  Looks like ebay has sold a lot of them.  I don't mind ponying up for the mikuni.  I've spent a lot on it already.   Thanks for your help.

Call Sudco. They can set you up with a carb that will get you going or at least in the ball park. I would suggest the 32mm, but the 30MM will make it easier to start but less top end. Check with them if your stock manifold will work. If not, source a Suzuki TM 250 as it will support the Mikuni.

Typically that would be fantastic advice -  Chad there was very proficient in getting things pre-jetted based on all the pertinent info---  however Sudco closed their doors at least 7-8 months ago unfortunately.  A REAL kick in the nuts for us Vintage racers

Strange, they still have a web presence. I did notice a customer post from Dec 2024. Sounds like they are no longer in the game.

They were still answering the phone as late as June 24 , although they were just selling off old existing stock . I called to see if Chad was hooking up with another supplier, as he was a wealth of info , but he was already gone.  From what I understand, their issue was caused by Keihin  cutting them off .
