Oh so whatever clutch parts are replaced greatly lessens 24 clutch pull?! Exactly what I was hoping to hear

When I bought my bike, I remember signing the papers, hopping on, starting it up, and taking it for a spin around the shop. As I left, I was already looking up clutch options because the pull felt really stiff.

Today, when they delivered my bike, I went out to the van, pulled the clutch cold, and it felt incredibly light. I fired it up and ripped around my neighborhood – I’m honestly shocked. It’s even lighter than my KTM.

Thinking about picking up a Triumph sometime at the end of the year, anyone a bigger guy who owns the 250? Currently own a KX450X for desert and a YZ450F for MX. Currently its a back and forth between the KX250 and the TF-250, I love the front wheel feel on my KX450, and after some work on my YZ lol. I heard from Keefer that the Triumph chassis is more comfortable and has more front wheel feel than even the Kawi's, so I'm drawn to it more.

Is this a true thing?

I’m 220 and 6’0 tall.  and it is a very comfortable chassis, don’t mistake that for not responsive though. Great front wheel feel and tracks great. Pulls me around no problem. I have a 23 crf450rwe for comparison.

Thank you, I'm around 250 currently working to drop back to 220 again. Any lower than that I'll be starving myself and taking a folding cot to the gym lmao. I had a 2023 Honda CRF250r and it was an absolute blast. Are there any decent rebates going down on the TF250s?

If you look hard enough there’s some pretty good deals but really depends where you’re located. Some dealers have them about $8k OTD

Damn I wish my shop was that fast lol. They've had my bike a month and half. But they just called me about 20 min ago and they're still waiting for a part. Apparently the service reps at Triumph HQ are struggling to differentiate between a couple small bolts (one is hollow to allow oil flow?) so they sent my dealer two hollow bolts instead of one hollow and one solid.

He did say they saw the recall/"Rework information and has started the process of getting all the parts for that. So maybe I'll have my bike in another month or so.

My bike goes to my dealer Saturday and they should only have it a couple days. Could’ve gotten it done likely in a day but my dealer is a bit of a haul from me across time zones so weekends are the only opportunity I have for it

Yeah sadly it's two tiny bolts holding my bike up. Dealer claims these two bolts should be different. One hollow one not. Triumph (and their website) shows them both as the same? So idk WTF is going on. It's the dealers first time dealing with one of their dirt bikes so seems like some growing pains in both ends.

They can turn mine in a day or so as I'm not delivering my bike until they certify that they have all the parts😉🙃

What’s wild is when I bought mine Pandora ordered the parts that day.  They delivered it to me 2 hours away 5 days later.

Yup. Dropped my bike off November 12.

First week or so was them waiting for Triumph to approve the warranty claim. Then waiting for parts. Then this whole fiasco with the restrictor bolts started mid December.

DT1 makes the air filters. Oil Filters I have been having my local dealer ship them to me.

OEM Twin Airs are extremely reasonably priced…$20 so no reason to stray away unless you just prefer another brand. Same with oil filters, $9.50 for the filter change kit that includes crush washer and o rings.

Are you getting the oil filter from your dealer or somewhere online?

I bought all my stuff from TriumphCleveland website. Air filters are cheaper there than MotoSport.

I call my dealer direct and stock up on at least 4 at a time. There’s a couple online sources though as Manopka just mentioned Triumph of Cleveland has everything online

Dropped my bike off yesterday afternoon and picked it up at 10 AM today. Here is what I learned;

1) New center hub and a new circlip were updated

2) New clutch plates, mine has Rekluce so no change

3) Start/Stop & Map switch new (My start stop failed 4 or more months ago) Used the work around posted here.

4) No new maps, only an update to the ECU is what I was told.

I did get a lesson on using the MAP APP and I was grateful for that as I'm not the best when it comes to that stuff😉

That was it - Thanks to Columbia River Triumph in Gresham OR👍

I picked mine up yesterday.. riding it tomorrow.  First thing I noticed was how much easier it started and there is zero “cold bog” that was there before and it revs a lot quicker.  Looking forward to seeing how it runs on track tomorrow.

Can anyone else confirm if the clutch is lighter after the updates? Went to my local dealer and was surprised how heavy the pull was.

No noticeable change. For me the pull has always been acceptable....

Rode today after the update package install. Can say that the bike is improved! Specifically the engine character.  Motor is more reactive to throttle inputs, picks up quicker and just seems to pull a little more everywhere even into the top end where it signed off a little earlier.  Made it even more fun to ride.

My pull was significantly lighter after the clutch

Spent 2 hours on my bike yesterday at Durhamtown in Georgia, and if I had to sum up the difference from my ‘23 KTM 250 SX-F in one word: Planted. The conditions were slick Georgia clay, but this bike absolutely tracked like a dream. I put about 45 minutes in on a track, and the bike felt incredible.

Even with stock suspension, it handles better than my KTM with custom valving—it turns like a dream, and the bottom-end response is noticeably better, in my opinion.  Not sure if i need to do anything to the suspension. Ran sag at 103. Safe to say, I’m putting the KTM up for sale soon!

Just got my bike back from warranty work, don’t really notice an easier clutch pull but I didn’t have a huge problem with it in the first place. I’ll get to see how the bike reacts with the updates next weekend

Same here. Just got mine back. I didn't notice the clutch pull as easier, but it never seemed hard to me before. They new map feels like they increased bottom end a bit more and it pulls strong to top. Pretty cool what Triumph is doing, they are essentially upgrading your 24 to a 25 model, at their cost. Also Triumph has a rebate going on right now for new 24's (if you can find one). My local shop has them going for 7900.00. So, you're basically buying a 25 model for that price once they do the upgrades.

Is the updated map gonna be map 1? I got mine back and having to take it right back having some problems with the clutch and bike refuses to shift without quickshift engaged so I did not get to mess with it at all.
