Over the past few years I have agreed with JT on the vast majority of his takes and opinions, but lately he's been way off in my opinion.
He's been in the sport and achieved WAY more than I ever did, and he has the experience to have his opinion...so I'm just wondering if anyone else is like me where lately it's been like who is THIS guy when I'm listening to some things.
I actually defended him in another thread about Steve irritating him on purpose, but then in the Pulp Review show his crazy push back on Steve saying Deegan made another mistake in supercross was odd.
Now in JT's power rankings, in his evaluating of Jett he literally goes on about how bad Jett looked and then, word for word, says "I'm not blaming Jett"
What? Dude I get the bike isn't perfect, but you've also gone on and on about how his toolbox is so big he can ride around a bad bike.
Again, free podcast and I'll keep listening for now, just more so wondering if anyone else is as WTF as me on this stuff lately.

I dont know about the payroll but I notice he seems to protect some riders and isn't a fan of others. When he gives his takes at times it makes me think what?

Where does Jett finish if he gets a good start and doesn't fall twice? probably top 5. So he may not like the bike right now but yes he can probably ride around it and still win if he gets a halfway decent start.
I agree and his mini meltdown over either over riding a bike he knows isn't good, or just plain over riding...should be talked about. Just my opinion.
Also I like JT, my interactions with him have always been good and I have respected his opinion. Just seems to have changed a lot recently.

eh its round 1. if he's still having the same issues 5-6 rounds in then it's a big conversation point. But he was fast in practice and had a terrible main from the start.
it didn't look to me like he was over riding at all in the race, when they did show him he looked timid on the bike. I dunno I wouldn't read too much into it other then they missed on bike setup and he also had a bad night from the first gate drop.
No. But given the amount of track side viewing he’s had over Jett’s career, I find his analysis pretty accurate.
He’s got access and he runs with it. I can guarantee he gets pod-traffic due to it (the Jett TV segments) & is wisely capitalizing on it. I noticed last season how there were SOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY “Jett” or “Lawrence” segments…and JT got plenty of them.
This is where we can have a laugh about a certain attractive blonde Ausiie woman that’s always giving us a mid race segment of…”I spoke with so-n-so at the such-n-such team and he said they added 2 clicks of rebound and changed the wrap on the semi and then they all went out and got sandwiches. It’s the TV package we get. And, yes, many of us roll our eyes…but, hey…we’re moto-geeks of the purest form and the show is “Made for the Masses”. I’m guessing JT is trying to capture some of the people from the TV coverage.

The review show with Steve and the Jasons ain’t what it used to be. It’s was cool when Ralph and Jeff were half clueless calling the race. Then on Sunday you got a different prospective from the 3 buddies in the review pod. Steve and company would have great insights and actually knew the racers names and gave you all the inside and technical stuff with some banter mixed in. Now it’s nothing but banter and all three guys are so attached to the circus we will never get their real opinion anymore.
Didn't you hear how critical they were of Prado's riding? Steve didn't seem to hold back. The review shows are still great IMHO. JT does seem to be a bit more politically correct than usual, him and Weege probably have no choice. Steve still lets loose every now and then though.

When I was watching a catch up on Race Day live, just before the Race, I saw another young blonde (whos' she?) and thought, well, 'The Voice' seems to be out ........... but nope, all of a sudden, there she was.
I've no real problem with her - or any TV 'personalities' - I'm there to watch the racing. But, a sh*t load seem to get their balls in a twist over anything and everything. What's that saying people do when at AA / NA meetings? I think most need to take that on, when it comes to the Commentary and other Talking Heads we see ( and hear) each week.
To your point, last week, she talked to so-n-so on team watchamacallit. He said that they’ve gone to a thinner seat cover and shinier plastic!
Now that's cutting edge insight from (allegedly) her !
