We are going in to 2025 Supercross and Suzuki have Ken Roczen lining up to compete for them, fully capable of grabbing some race wins.
HOW???!!!
There is no brand doing less for the sport or putting forth less effort into dirtbikes than Suzuki and somehow they still have Ken Roczen racing one of their outdated bikes with a kickstarter in 2025, lol.
Who is the person(s) responsible for this? They deserve a presidential medal, a lifetime achievement award, a Nobel prize... They must me the most keen business person on this planet, because I just do not see how they still have bikes out there in Professional SMX.
They have fallen a long way in recent years, but someone is keeping the US racing dream over alive at Suzuki... kudos to you.

I mean…it’s Kenny…he’s responsible….
Ken Roczen is responsible for Ken Roczen racing Suzuki.
Maybe the vitards are wrong and the bike is great?

It’s funny…you can go out and ride allllllll the new cool-guy ultra-trick new bikes…including which-ever is your favorite or your “perceived” favorite. Most all do them are damn good and have some awesome features and even some new well hyped tech.
But, then…then…you go ride the Zook. The bike that some say isn’t changed since RC rode it…and it’s old or whatever is the latest yarn of negativity…but, you go ride it…into a rutted shitty-nasty turn…
And the Zook Rails it. On other parts of the track it may feel a little heavier…but, it alway seems to be tracking really, really well and it’s just so “easy” to ride…and have a good time while getting your laps in.
That’s has easy as it is to explain for me.
1a. PMG
1b. Progressive
2. Red Bull
3. Fox
4. Various suspension suppliers/tuners
5. Twisted Tea, for standing down
6. American Suzuki
KTM really should have bought Suzuki, what a missed opportunity
It's pretty clear that the RMZ is plenty capable with an A-list rider. Also, way more bike than the majority of people on this forum can utilize.
Ego is a marketing departments wet dream.
Someone at #6 on your list is keeping this thing alive. And I bet it ain't been easy...
From the Suzuki side, thank Chris Wheeler. He's the man pushing more support towards HEP. Fun fact, Wheeler lurks here, and even kicks most of our asses at Fantasy every week...
You must be some broke KTM owner
Well, I doubt he had any option but to take the Suzuki or he'd be done. Honda was out...Yamaha was full, Kawi was full, KTM was not even an option. Plus, I heard that he had to have at least some type of "factory" ride in order to fulfill his Redbull sponsorship. Kenny had basically no choice but to ride this friggin yellow dinosaur.
Ja ja
I’d have to say…the team owners and Twisted Development belong on that list… (yes, I see item 4…but, Twisted’s a big part of that engine program)
Suzuki has done plenty for our sport. They have been conservative in recent years, but they have survived. They have not updated design, but many brands take two steps back and foul up a proven one.
Suzuki is iconic.
It would be cool for Roger to be brand ambassdor.
Pipes is 1a on the list!
Edit: I think the Roczen rig is PMG and the other is HEP? If not, put HEP 1a.
Nope two honders and a yamahawho
Pit Row
Or maybe he's posted the most factual comment in the thread. It's Kenny who signed the contract.
Is Wheeler the one who 'borrowed' from the Suzuki outboard engine budget to keep the SX ream going a few years back? He's been yellow for a while now right? I remember reading something about them finding the $$$ they needed to go racing from the other dept and that is why we saw Suzuki boat engines in the pits.
Red Bull dictates where Kenny goes.
Sure, but if they're the same price I at least want to be lazy and just push a button instead of having to kick the thing.
Go to a local track, there will most likely be someone on a Suzuki that can smoke you (ya, if any show up, hehehe). This whole "it has kickstart and is outdated" doesn't mean squat once you're out on the track with the engine running.
You say that like I don't stall it every other lap
Haha, valid argument. Racing 2-strokes forever, my biggest downfall was when I got too tired to hold on properly (rough 2nd motos) and I'd stall my bike going into corners too hot.
Let's take a step back. Yes there is no button to push. We rode for many years with a button only on an enduro bike. Nice addition, yes. If an A level racer can win an SX or national on the supposed outdated bike, he must be a hero or the bike isn't that bad. This might be a good poll, How many have ridden a Suzuki or just go by the rumors of its outdated design?
Simple. He is being paid waaaay more $$$ to ride that Suz than any other manufacturer offered.
At his age he goes for the money. No hard feelings against him..
What if Suzuki came out with an all new KR factory edition? Wouldn’t that be totally awesome!
Obvoiusly Suzuki is putting some kind of effort and money to have HEP on the bikes. If that wasnt the case theyd be on Yamaha or Honda or whatever.
man....that bike is beautiful.
