Sometimes I still daydream that Stews career was Kawi only or Kawi/Suzuki only.  If I had a time machine, one of the top 5 things I'd do is stop him from signing with Yamaha.

Yamaha had to start somewhere with the reverse head idea. It's just unfortunate that Stew was not the right guy to have to ride that '10 bike. He was still in prime years and that bike had some major growing pains. I still don't fully blame that bike for "ruining his career" but I guess that is a different conversation. I guess 1 positive is he had a window where he had a resurgence on the Suzuki. And Yamaha eventually got their platform figured out.

In the 12 championships that Dungey and James raced together, James never finished ahead of him even once. NOT ONCE! He finished ahead of Villo exactly once. How can you be faster than someone and never beat them? The reason we have races and championships is to figure out who is the best.

The Ryans ended James shot at championships. It wasn't his Yamaha. They were just better than he was.

It’s simple, really. While he was incredibly fast, most people remember just how many races and championships stewart crashed his way out of.

I think he for sure left 5-6 titles on the table.

When you burn past bridges, there arent too many manufacturers' to sign with........you mess up the bed, you sleep in it.

Too bad championships are won on consistency instead of speed. He was fast as hell but crashed himself out of contention a lot.

Who let RC onto the message boards?
