Sometimes I still daydream that Stews career was Kawi only or Kawi/Suzuki only. If I had a time machine, one of the top 5 things I'd do is stop him from signing with Yamaha.
Yamaha had to start somewhere with the reverse head idea. It's just unfortunate that Stew was not the right guy to have to ride that '10 bike. He was still in prime years and that bike had some major growing pains. I still don't fully blame that bike for "ruining his career" but I guess that is a different conversation. I guess 1 positive is he had a window where he had a resurgence on the Suzuki. And Yamaha eventually got their platform figured out.

It’s simple, really. While he was incredibly fast, most people remember just how many races and championships stewart crashed his way out of.
