I wear a 10-10.5 shoe. I tried on the 10's at our local retailer and they were spot on. I was surprised how much better they felt than the sg12 and tech10 out of the box (have been running tech 10's since first generation).

I'm not sure on that specifically but what I did feel is less pinching at the ankle flex compared to the T10. Which is weird, I'd never noticed that in any of my previous boots. I'm probably going to give the 22's a try. I don't think the 22's felt anything like the 12's back to back out of the box

I tried on 12's and 22's back to back a month ago when there was a Gaerne sale going on and it was a significant improvement in comfort on the 22 walking around the store. Still the Gaerne sole, but it felt like the motion of the ankle was far more natural. Cant speak to how its going to translate into a fully broken in boot on the bike, but I really have no reason to believe it would be different.

Ordered the 22's (didnt have the size I need in the color I wanted in store).

Anxious to try the 22’s. I’ve worn -12’s for many years but can’t stand my most recent set. WAY too tight on the top of my foot near the first buckle. I wore them 4 times, then shelved them and went back to my previous pair.

I wear an 11-11.5 in regular shoes, and wear an 11 sg22, and an 11.5 sidi crossfire3

For those who have sg12”s and 22”s… are the 22”s the same width at toe box or wider? I need the widest boots available for my bunions🤪

Keeping that fit in mind, imagine that you wore a size 12 regular shoe. Would you buy an SG22 in a size 11, or 12?

They fit a little roomy to stuff all that extra cash you have to burn.

Jokes aside, for the Italian boot mfgs (even A*) check the euro size and then reference that. They size them for euro lasts and sometimes it’s lost in translation when they convert it to US. For example, the translated size nine might be true to size while a size 12 is a half size off. Get your shoe size in euro (40 something) and buy based on that.

I would buy a 12 if I were you, I have an average width foot, and size 11 fit just fine not to big not to small. Too bad they don't have an 11.5, but I would rather go a bit big than too small. I will add one thing about SG22's that I haven't seen posted, is they are in no way waterproof. I rode a harescramble in mine when I first got them and my feet were soaked. I now wear my sidi's for woods and keep the gaerne's for the track. I don't know if that matters to you, but I thought I would mention it.
