hallo i can't install the powerparts skid plate on my 25 sx300 the code is correct there some tips for do this? 3 screw i can install but i cannot install the last one semm the plastic the plate is narrow. KTM is always a nightmere when you have to work on japan win 10-0
I put a xc skid plate on mine when I got it as no aftermarket ones were available in 2023 but I did have to manipulate it a bit to get the holes to line up. It was narrow like your saying. Now that it’s been on there for a couple years it comes on and off easy. It is a oem xc skid plate. It’s held up great. I take it off everyone once and a while to clean under it.
i will try with a lift stand but is incredible how difficult is to work on ktm bike
Keep all mount bolts loose until they are all started, threaded in, some guys have had to heat up the last corner to get the bolts to start threading…once the plate is mounted it will stretch and fit good… or let the plate sit out in the sun for a bit before mounting it up…
it's impossible to do there is a video explain well why. thank you ktm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MZdy0qwzNU

I removed one of the rear aluminum spacers the bolts go through and used a rubber grommet on one side, after being mounted on the bike for a while, I was then able to reinstall the correct aluminum spacer
Acerbis skid plate went on with ease on my 300sx. It also has the linkage guard as well. Maybe you could return it?
i think acerbis is the way to go
