I'm 35 years old, I've been riding since my old man brought home a 1976 Indian 50(with training wheels) from his Indian dealership. I'm a mechanic by trade & for the first time in my life I totally gooned it & put my piston in backwards on my 06 RM 250. The cylinder got scored/groved so I'm just seeing who's around the NY area that is GOOD & could fix it. I might just buy a new one(which I'll get for cost) or see if it's worth it to fix this one. Danny Camp(Camp332) gave me a couple of #s, thanks...I'm just seeing who else is around & could do it right away.

I gave him Steve's (moto814) number. He also has Tweekers info. Who else around here can hook up this mechanic who puts in a piston backwards? hehe

To repair/replate the cylinder, there is only one place I'll use. http://www.powersealusa.com

They're the best I've found.

I don't know about that.........he did move to Iowa after all. He did the big bore and porting on my daughter's CR125 though and we couldn't be happier. Runs with 250F's easy.

I used them after 814's recommendation. They did a good job with a badly damaged cylinder. I think it took a couple weeks.... this was back in September.

I've been using Power Seal for a few years. They do a great job and are nice guys too, will take time to answer your questions.

Pretty cool that it appears quite a few people out there do such a good job. I'll throw another one out there that I used for five or six cylinders in the past. Millenium Technologies. Always had a fast turnaround , excellent work and priced well.

X2. They did my 125(now a 134). The cylinder turned out beautiful. Great work, good turn around, very fair price.

I've used Millenium a time or two as well. Really nice work and fairly quick turnaround.

My buddy Pete at Heavy Duty Racing in Virginia fixed my '04 RM250 cylinder for me. The ring had taken a chunk out of the exhaust port and gouged a slice in the cylinder wall. He also cleaned out all the power valves and sandblasted the thing for me for $230 I think the price was. Looked like a new cylinder when I got it back and the bike is super fast. You can mail it to him.

It's simple. I don't have the facilities to do replating in house. I use PowerSeal USA for that. I've tried USChrome, Millenium, Langcourt, and PowerSeal. The workmanship and quality of the cylinders I got back from PowerSeal was the best, so I continue to send them my business.

I ended up getting everything new. I called powerseal & after shipping both ways plus the cost of repairs it wasn't much cheaper then the price I got a new one for...plus I'll have it this Friday instead of the 2 week turn around time.

Thanks for lookin' out.

And if anyone wants a slightly damaged cylinder let me know...pm me.

Does anyone know the difference between a 2005 and a 2006 cylinder?
The part numbers are: 11201-37850 for the 2006 and 11201-37840 for the 2005.
