I just purchased a 2024 YZ450FX. I’m looking into exhaust system options. I’m wondering if it’s it is worth it to spend $1400 on the FMF 4.1 full system with the Megabomb. Or should I save some money and just do the slip on? How does the stock vs the megabomb compare? Would I be making any significant sacrifices by not getting the megabomb?

Stock exhaust is fine, fmf is lighter but dents if you look at it... Buy gas and play with the tuning app.

Can't help you on the header comparison, but I run the slip-on. Only really needed it for the spark arrestor, but so far so good. Definitely loud though.

Agree with above. The bike doesn't need more power; it just needs to be tuned to your liking.

I think exhausts are the biggest waste of money ever in terms of "performance mods"...especially on a 450, and especially on a 450 with an app you can change power delivery to however you want it...you can get way faster by spending $1400 on riding schools, or suspension.  You aren't giving anything up.

I do have the FMF slip on, but ONLY for the spark arrestor.  Like said above, its loud...b

With that said...if you've got the money to burn, and want one (because it looks cool or for whatever reason)...you do you...modify your bike however you want, that's part of the fun of this sport...have a blast...support the sport.

For spark arrestors, rocky mountain makes a pretty good one that replaces the end cap. I'm currently running a insert that has 3 set screws that works and is super easy to install.

The one I'm currently running is made by Fisch, the USPS approved version.

The Lexx spark arrestor endcap is only listed as fitting the 10'-13' YZ450.     Does it fit the newer models without too much modification?

I couldn’t find any spark arrestors or end caps that fit on the 24. Ended up getting the Factory 4.1 titanium slip on.
