100% Vince would have checked-up and not just sent it into the other dude.

Is Vince racing the entire series or simply getting ready for supercross?

I can only hope that he's not going to be competing in SX. Leave him in AX.

The other riders don’t want to race that way and they should not have to. It’s not a takeout competition. This was not the worst pass, but Vince had no reason to go outside there other than take out Wageman. The only reason to go outside was to triple in. There is no way he was going to do that from the angle he was taking. That is not racing. Not even arenacross. If you take someone out while you’re racing the track and moving forward, that is one thing. I have a guy local to me that is very similar to Vince. He dangerously rides defensive, then tries to fight when you make an aggressive pass. I look at it from the riders point of view. I have a feeling that a lot of you guys would be singing a different tune if you had to race against a guy like Vince.

They may not want too, but sometimes a message has to be sent/enforced or the same shit keeps happening. This or people/riders can keep on crying...

Not only is this not the answer, it hasn't worked in the past.  Riders have taken out Friese - Peick even beat the shit of of him on live television - and he still rides like an arsehole.

The answer to the Friese (and Dum Dum) problem is the improvement and enforcement of AMA rules around dirty riding.

When I first watched it, I thought Vince chopped Wageman's front wheel, but when I re-watched it just now, it looked more like Vince just took Wageman's line and Wageman washed the front end to avoid making contact. I'm no fan of his, and he's more than earned his reputation, but this pass sure doesn't count as dirty.

Always nice to see someone who looks at it more than once and just tells it like it is. To be honest the crash between Peters en Breece (if I'm not mistaken) was a lot more aggressive. But because it is Kyle Peters (who everyone respects and/or likes) everyone likes to believe he thought that Ryan Breece wouldn't turn down like that and keep it wide to pin the start straight.

If Wageman wants to make Arenacross a career, he has some work...

Vince Friese is a rider that you never see race forward, unless it’s a pass back. He almost always starts up front (or close to it), and will only gain a position right after he loses one. Since joining Arenacross, he’s literally one of the fastest riders on the track. Wageman was faster than he was, the pass and the stalking he did showed it. Robbie showed more respect towards Vince than he ever deserved. It’s Arenacross, so Vince has his day coming.

You can’t stop a guy like him by doing the same thing. It will just snowball from there until someone get’s hurt and can’t ride anymore.

99% of the riders just want to race and don’t be like him..

Really? I seem to remember rider after rider saying after they parked him he was never a problem again.

Is there an example besides Peick or Windham?

You said "rider after rider" which in my brain means several, multiple, quite a few etc.

Genuinely curious.

Or maybe you just literally meant those 2, in which case your wording would be kinda weird but fair enough.

Punching a guy in the helmet is not nearly as effective as cleaning them out

That pass wasn't dirty but I do feel like it was unnecessary to actually make contact and I can see why Wageman would be frustrated after he made a clean pass on Vince, but Vince has made his racing intentions pretty clear.. The door was pretty open and it was REALLY open if you have a guy like Vince behind you..

I think the broader point is, how many other professional riders would go in looking for contact in that situation?

In AX? Most of them. I have never defended Vince before, but just because Wageman passed him clean doesn't mean contact is off the table.  You have to know better.

There is a difference between looking for contact to take their momentum and going in trying to clean them out. Either way it's AX and it's to be expected. It's the hockey of the MX world.

Whether that's Vince or not, if you don't expect that in AX, you're making a mistake.

Yeah I do get that.. I guess my bias was showing cause I was probably more meaning that move at that time of the race but I honestly have no idea what time of the race it was haha if it was early then yeah I still think it was pretty unnecessary but if it was late it's fair game haha

some say the same about kooksey. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got entitled to their own but we don't need to see or smell that shit.
