Nicko is finally getting off the road. Well deserved, too, the guy always put 100% into his performances.

One of the greatest live bands of all time.
Interesting Tour Trivia…those of you that remember when Freddie would rise behind the band under a huge lighting rack…?,
That lighting rack was 1/2 of the rack from Queen’s News of the World Tour…a tour that had up to four of its own 53’ Generator Trailers because most venues did not have enough power for Queen’s production needs.
That was epic!

The first album I ever bought as a kid was, Number of the Beast.
Run to the Hills and, Number of the Beast were the greatest thing my six year old ears ever heard.
Nice !
Growing up the Maiden posters were everywhere. Every kid had them.
I finally got to see Iron Maiden live in Cape Town about 10 or so yrs back.
Doh! Didn’t even see the spelling! 🤣
He was the original drummers tech wasn't he? Came in for Piece of Mind and killed it.
Tommy Aldridge…?
Haha I saw the 1st movie in 7th or 8th grade. On a triple or more date. We made out the whole movie. Maybe take a minute break & watch . Then back to making out. Lol
I was wrong...Harris fired Clive Burr and got Nico from a band called Trust in 1982.
Nice guy, got to spend about a half hour talking with him after a Ted Nugent show.
He’s one of the most talented drummers -ever- in rock-n-roll.
He’s a sleeper of sorts. If you go back to his Pat Travers era…there’s some real gold in there…like…Hammerhead or Evie…from a drummers stand point…perfection.
Snorttin’ whiskey and drinking cocaine.
great pat travers band song!
I thought this was going to be about you retiring...... I had to check my calendar and make sure it wasn't April 1

When we saw them in SLC this tour Nicko spent a long time with fans at the stage, both after the main show and the encore. In retrospect you could tell he was drinking it all in. Amazing he came back as well as he did. Respect.
Cool pics from the last show.
There have been so many great rock bands from the UK, and i have been too wrapped up in racing bikes to be really 'in' to any of them.
But i have seen enough documentaries about Iron Maiden to get how big they were (are) and regret the fact that they didnt get more of my attention.
100 million+ album sales is insane.
Saw them twice, the most memorable (of most any band I've seen) being Ozzfest in 2005. Sharon Osbourne had some beef going with Bruce Dickinson, so she had some folks cut the sound and lights several times early into their set....
In response, once it was all sorted out, Bruce yelled into the mic something along the lines of "A great American band once said 'I can't drive 55'... Well, we can't play 55!". Their set was scheduled for 55 minutes, they ended up going 90.
The set was absolutely blistering with all the typical hits played a few bpm faster than usual! They were pissed, and it fucking showed. Absolutely insane energy.
Sharon came out after and tried to appeal to the audience, we boo'd her off stage.
Black Sabbath was up next (Ozzy was touring under Sabbath at the time), half the crowd left.
Years later I read an interview with Iron Maiden's long time tour manager (IIRC) and he was asked what he felt were their top shows all time. He listed a handful, 5 shows I believe, and 2005 Ozzfest was on there. Damn right.
