Great Lakes area. WOW!!!

How much did you get ?  I did laundry at a ts Sunday in Chicago land . The bills game was on I caught a little bit of it.  Finally got a ld at 11.00 pu in Chicago lower Mi. Had aprox 100 mi of lake effect snow. I followed the lake to stop 1 in Norton Shores, Mi.  Only 5k lbs traffic 22-34 mph touch the throttle & she goes sideways . Real icey too almost there I pulled into a rest area & slid the 5th wheel all the way up & tandems more back. Trying to get some weight on the truck. 3 stop load . It’s been 2 weeks of winter and it’s gonna be a Longg one.

We have like 5 to 6 feet in erie all together. 

At my house I was debating cutting the lawn so the new owners don't have a hay field come spring . 20 minutes south got between 2 and 3 feet.

I don't see what the big deal is. We should be used to it, but they're probably blaming cow farts for the snow flakes.

Cool pic. Only 2 plows in 100 mi storm & they didn’t hv there plows down. Probably doing there CDL test but a ton of pu & cars spun out including a boxer. Who the hell would think of driving that pile in winter.  The bosses Lithuanian shop is moving rent is too high. He bought property in Milwaukee. Sat after running in my van all ovr including 4 Asians Fri night . Yeah good times , I get back to the trk yard & the gate is locked. I called my boss to get the code & he says the trk is in a Mexican s shop. I get a adrress it’s really f d up up with hills narrow streets & low via ducts. The trk is not done I sit at a table freezing . It’s 1am then I hv to drive back to our yard & edit outside forever 4 a Uber.   I electric frying pan my frozen chicken that was in a good cooler. That’s how cold & windy it was.  They f ed up the fuel filter Trk won’t start yet this morning & the air dryer . I worked on that at the shop parking lot & the yrs froze up but the governed is shot.  Shop didn’t put enough oil in.  I had to use either twice this morning. I needed to use it myself to get going. Hoood covered in frozen snow .  Walk a mi in snow & warehouse trying get checked in etc.  lake effect snow yet.  You wouldn’t believe how bad you get muscle cramps . In hands , feet, calf’s the worst but the rest of your body too.  Winter is a million times worse than 112 with 90% humidity & dew point. I always said all upper Midwest drivers should get a premium winter pay.  And the northeast when storms hit.  I know of a women driver stranded at a dock for 10 days in Boston yrs ago.  Pic of Mexicans shop

We got hammered here in Erie.  National Guard is here, our fire trucks were stuck all over the place.  It is finally starting to get somewhat normal again.  More is coming this week though.

Lake effect in Mi. Yet I,m rt next to the lake tho.  It’s been 5 yrs since a Real polar vortex of -48, -58 real temp without wind.  Old timers say every 5 yrs we get a bad winter. At 2nd stop waiting to unld again. LTL loads your NEVER supposed to wait. The wait on the 1st stp throws all the stops off. Hv a 3rd yet. Then the pu is late then the next 3 stop load stops r off.  F ing Lazy people in this country.  Cost me 80k a yr Lazy Fing losers u can put a monkey on a forklift & it would do better.  I prefer a operated less forklift. Controlled by a Eastern European in there country. 

Firemen dummy’s don’t know how to throw chains on ?  Probably a union policy that there not allowed.  They let a house burn that had a woman & children inside in Green Bay .  The fire wasn’t that bad.  Neighbor women where pissed . Saying the fire wasn’t that bad . Your firemen Do your job, you let a women & children burn to death. Poor people though, they get different emergency response orders. Like let them burn to death. .

So is being in a bad lake effect snow storm with up to 3 feet. And a 3k lb load touch the throttle & it’s sideways in .00001 seconds. Then do stop 3 stops.in Mi. Reload I made it threw Chicago crash vest s. Bound backup was 80 mi . Parked n of Milwaukee & it’s below zero. Get up 4.45 & del a 3 stop ld 3rd stop winds pu to 50-67 mph sleet, ice, snow.  When it’s not snowing u can’t see from the blowing snow.  You wouldn’t believe how bad the extreme wind & cold is on your body . It goes rt threw all your layers.  My feet , calf’s , hands cramp real bad . But muscles all ovr your body cramp.  Much worse than 112 with 90 % humidity & dew point.  Hit the trk 4 times with either . F er shut off a lean person like me . You can start shaking real bad & can’t stop real fast.  And then die.  Mi. Warmer more lk effect storms , Wi. Much colder & windy not many lk effect storms.  Lake Mi. Really splits the weather. Co.s want to stay out of upper Midwest states in winter because it’s too brutal on equipment & humans. You break down & your in a shop for 2+ weeks. Because everybody is broke down.  Crazy how much energy your body burns in extreme cold. I crossed a river in Eau Claire wed , it had waves like ll mi. F ing scary lookin.  

Ice shelf’s r Soo bizarre. The bay of Green Bay freezes ovr every winter . There can b a ice shelf miles off shore , it’s more strange than anything in outer space.  Lake Mi. Can freeze ovr too. The massive size it’s like a ocean . Like how does that happen?  Look at the guy on top of 1. The beauty & power of the Great Lakes is mind bending.

You get to see the 25,000 yr old ice age glacier every winter in the bay.  Ice riding on it is Fun

Drive safe out there ,the lake effect is firing back up.  I haven't checked the lake temps to see how close they are to freezing. 

When the lakes frozen it's beautiful, when it starts to thaw and there's huge waves of water/ice slurry it looks satans slurpee, that's when it's scary.

You couldn't pay me enough to live in that shit....

I was born in upstate NY.  Family moved to Cali for my dads job and never looked back.   I like to visit the snow, but that frozen icicle wasteland....wow.

Where in NY. ? My Tribe is from Oneida NY. They owned all the land from i90 north into Quebec & Ontario. Had meetings with GW & helped defeat the British. There on the west side of Green Bay now, very cool . They & other tribes hv a lot of ceremonies yet in Wi. Kinda creates a good karma. True the early below zero with 50-60 mph winds r brutal.  But the Beauty after the storms is breathless.  It teachers u Mother Nature makes the rules & how powerful she is. Survive working outside or traveling & your in a celebratory mood. Last stop was in Eau Claire the guy was cool moved to nyc got his CDL & did the cities I did too . So I know that’s the toughest & 1 hell of a way to start. It was 40 ft of blowing snow when we talked .  It’s a fun state the people r great all truckers that hit all the states say the same .  Milwaukee, Green Bay , ne Wi. Is kinda of different.  Lake side to west to north etc it all looks different. By far the best looking lakes in the country.  Very natualy beautiful women gb is lacking  some.  Example western Wi. A beautiful women gets up at 4.30 am walks threw the woods with her dog & goes 4 a canoe ride b4 work.  Not stuck up & Hot.  2 weeks ago a chic had her garbage trk jacket open she’s a driver & a women’s wife beater. Hair parted front to neck pony tails braided , gorgeous face & a 10 bod & Really cool & nice.  In gb truckers at the hotel for orientation from all ovr say thd Walmart is packed with beautiful women, in my town you hv to hit a target to see a hot  woman.  A ton of Eastern European beautiful  wonen in the st from Chicago . They all say oh Wi. Soo beautiful, which sounds cool. In summer I like to travel there and in winter I Love to ice skate & ski & restaurants oh food & drinks so very good, I like. Perfect body expressing herself ice skating , that’s beautiful. A ton of rivers & lakes rafting down a beautiful river is fun . Winter stud the tires & ride anything. Drive around the st u see people doing stuff a lot of old red barns farms.  The desert every mile looks the same everything looks dead . No cool trees or interesting lakes .  Stopped at black river falls to scale & hoped I ran into a super cute Indian woman I met there b4 . It’s a real funny story. The 4 flying j women where Hot especially 1 blonde & all natural & 6.1 .  It’s a work hard play hard state .  I got a dock I might b out of hear by noon.
