any news on the Avery Long kid? He posted about his departure from NSA Yamaha.

ClubMx?
Uhhhh stilez has 4 pro podiums. Couple rough years but I would say he has shown potential.
Avery has shown potential too but he’s racing uhh some dude from Brazil who got 33rd at Des nations & 14, 15 & a 16 year old kid. I like Avery & have heard he’s an awesome guy but doesn’t seem like a fair comparison to put Avery up against stilez. I’d be looking for at maybe like barx, rock River. Buddy needs to be on a 450 outdoors! Wonder if he could maybe get in contact with SLR Honda? Seems they are taking Parker Ross racing this year sx & mx. Can’t be that much more to throw another bike on the truck & take Avery along (haha see what I did there)
Two top 10s in Futures versus a handful of pro podiums and over a dozen top 10s probably had a lot to do with it.
Spoke to them, they weren’t interested in him on the pro team. There was talk for Futures / Combines, Yamaha made them an offer to take him and they asked for more. Ultimately a deal couldn’t be reached.
Spoke to SLR and BarX. Nothing could be done at BarX, SLR maybe could put together a bike but still a stretch.
There are two things in the works for Avery, crossing my fingers that either work out. Yamaha staff are promising something will work out. Ball is in their court.
Rock River is a pay to race team. Could build a better bike on own terms. No offense to them, they’re rebuilding their program.

I'm genuinely curious, why do you say ClubMX is greedy?
Why doesn’t OB amateur team pick up him? They have 3 brands they could put him on and maybe a path with husky pro since RJ will be moving up soon. Hate to say it but doesn’t seem like anyone they currently have no in A class on the amateur side will be any good or make it. Give long a shot
Budget is maxed out. No room.
Cut one or 2 of the 3 A riders they have problem solved. That’s what doesn’t make sense about this sport. Teams ride it out with riders who obviously don’t have it instead of cutting them and moving on. Need to take lessons from star or Redbull f1. You don’t perform at a top level your done.
F1 is not motocross
Who are their A riders, I can only think of Fauser? They have Gibson on Husky and ML has mentioned they may move him up to RJ's spot next summer.
Fauser, gibson, clark. If you don’t win or top 3 mini os almost every moto are ya ready to be moved up to the pro team?
Gibson is not ready and I think he's only 15, don't get it but I didn't understand moving Vohland up either 🤷♂️
As much as I'm a supporter of Avery's, I also get it. He's basically ready to go pro, maybe one more trip through futures and combines, but it's pretty much time to move into the pros. If the KTM group doesn't have space on a pro program, it doesn't make sense to invest in Avery for 8 months or so on Orange Brigade and then let him go. The other kids mentioned are much younger and have time to mature at a point where they have space to move up. If they had extra budget, sure, grab Avery for the first half of 2025 in SX Futures and if he kills it, see if there's a home for him, or then cut him loose. However, you don't cut existing long-term commitments for a gamble like that.
Gibson has a path to Rockstar Husky, but Gibson and Clark...I'm not really sure have that clear of a path to pro. They still have time to prove themselves and wait for that pathway to open. Avery doesn't have that time.
Avery's is in a weird spot right now.
Has a Canadian path opened up? He could be a guy that gets some results up north and then potentially wait a year or so for an American spot to open. I could see some good results on a 450 in Canada.
There’s been talks about going to Canada, but that’s Summer time 2025. Gotta figure out January to May / Supercross time.
