I’ve had the same YouTube channel for just under 20 years, I’ve never put that much effort into the videos, it’s mostly a way to just document fun times riding dirt bikes. I have a few videos that were mildly successful (65k and 35k fews) - but again, that was never my goal.

Last week a start getting notifications on my phone for comments on a video, YouTube comments sections are the WORST so I ignore it, but as the week goes on I keep getting more and more comments

I see that it is a video from 2007, this is around the time that goon riding was very popular, and I had made a video of me goon riding. The title is “gooning”

I was not aware that the meaning of gooning has changed recently, if you weren’t aware, don’t look it up, just know that it has to do with masturbating.

Apparently what has happened, is that YouTube started suggesting a video from many years ago where someone said hawk-tuah and consequently suggests my video after - so it’s tripping people out that new slang today was around years ago

It’s been pretty wild, just at 60k views now, a little under 10k likes, and over 1000 comments

Wild to have a page go unnoticed for 20 years and by the grace of the algorithm gods start to get noticed

Yeah I posted it here in 2020 and on a Ohio moto website. Called pitracer ( pitracer have since hid the non moto section to cover up the censorship.) Pitracer even pulled my ip address and started telling local racers who I was. I no longer have anything to do with Ohio motocross.
