And rightfully so.

They need to get someone like, Bernie Collins.

Her technical knowledge is a huge asset to the broadcast, from FP1 thru the checkered flag on Sunday.

Quite the turn of events from sprint qualy, to the sprint race, then the GP qualy. Everybody has a hand in the cookie jar. 

Max penalized 1 spot on the grid so Russell now on pole. 

Max was docked one position for the bullshit they were talking about at the end of the broadcast. 

A damn track where everyone had trouble finding space, and staying out of each other's way.

A bullshit call.

Russell's been on fire lately off the line.

Might be tough to beat him into turn one.

Max just needs to stay withing DRS range until lap two.

No buzz around this race, just finish out the season ... F1 had to give people something to talk about. The track is a quintesential Tilke suck fest.  Too bad it won't rain buckets there ... ever.

Steward's have totally fucked this race.

New race director hasn’t covered himself in glory either. Shit-show. 

Louie got busted for a  jump start. 

Norris did the same, and got away with it.

He got nailed for not lifting, and the telemetry from the Ferrari's showed them not lifting.

But no penalty.

Woody raised hell directly with the stewards in order to get Max stripped of the pole.

And that's just the stuff I've read about as of now.

Then the whole mirror debacle.

Which completely screwed the race.

They need to rid themselves of salami, and get someone who wears a hat on their head.

Not a towel.

F1 has become over regulated. Too many stewards and race director penalties has the drivers second guessing anything they do on the track. You have a race director today afraid to put either a virtual or safety car on the track for a lost mirror which caused numerous flats. That could have been catastrophic had a car spit it into a trailing car. Remember Felipe Massa getting almost killed when a rear shock spring went through his helmet

They canned ocon.

Looks like louie is off the team over at Mercedes. 

Everything I've read has him going off on the team, and car.

Listening to the broadcast, had him wanting to park the car before the race ended.

Then they called him in.

(To avoid the car's penalty being applied next week)

They probably are looking forward to him being gone.

Wonder how long the honeymoon at Ferrari will last ??

Almost zero chance Hamilton doesn't race next week for Merc, they've too long a history of success together and unless it's his idea and they feel Antonelli would do better (which is unlikely), then it makes no sense to do that. His post-race interview, he was clear that sometimes you have a bad weekend but you need to pick yourself up and move on. Plus he likes the track at Abu-Dhabi (god knows why). 

It's also hardly a suprise that the latter half of the year he's been off the pace of Russell. Merc will (rightly) be building the car and developing it around what George wants and expects. Also likely is that Hamilton hasn't been part of engineering meetings or given access to plans for development and things they are doing for next year which apply this year either (again, completely correctly so no criticism of Merc, it's just how these things always go). Forget qualifying and Hamilton's race pace has been right there with Russell all year long, even last weekend where he came through the pack he was quick. 

If Ferrari have  good car next year (no reason to think they won't since they're right in the constructors hunt) then he will be up there challenging. Will he beat LeClerc, probably not in qualifying very often as Charles is also a blazing fast driver but if he's up there close to the front then he's going to be in with a shout. If it doesn't go well, he may only do one year. He is now in his 40's after all and no matter who you are time catches up.
