I mean it was obvious from his columns that he was a lurker (Especially when a few of them directly responded to comments made on here or MotoTalk) despite claiming to steer clear of them, but I never guessed he'd actually pop up under his real name.
But if he sticks around beyond the plugging, it'll be a good thing. Ping would be an asset to this community not a detriment.
The only non suprise is the long line of guys waiting to take a shot at anyone from the industry who does actually come here under there own name.
I'm buying the DVD.
I bought and maintained for my wife one of his 99 RM 125's SX bikes, less SX suspension of course, I had Race Tech rework the stock boingers for my wife and she rode the piss out of that thing for 3 years... I might have run a lap or two as well. I even got the pipe that belonged to the motor from another "insider". I've always been a Ping fan. If you ever get the opportunity to talk with him you'll find that he is... well... himself every day. Thanks for stopping by Ping.
I was commenting that it is usually the norm that an industry guy gets hammered.
He's posted here once or twice before and just to clarify morons spouting shit off they know nothing about...
Just another dude trying to make a living, he ain't the only one advertising around here... leave the fucker alone...

One thing it is not is someone spamming their moto website on Vital. IMO that is a clear cut case of crossing the line.
Is the site better with an active team manager on it? Yes.
He's not entirely incorrect on his assessment of message boards. Sometimes they're really good...like when you're getting updates directly from team managers. Sometimes they're really bad. Like a lot of this thread...
