I have to say, even though we do some pretty fucked up shit here, I am pretty surprised at how some of you guys are basically cheering because Reed couldn't finish? Are you guys serious? That probably was the most difficult supercross race ever and he was out there giving it his all to the point that RC was even cheering for him. This is the same guy who would basically park Reed in a corner every chance he got.

x2...Reed may be a douche at times, but I don't cheer against him.

I can say with 100% certainty that we have sunk much much lower, this isn't even on the charts.

I have HUGE respect for Reed no matter how he finishes.
Go to Google and look for the Australian 60 minutes story they ran on him a while back.
17 year old kid left home for Europe with a couple gear bags and a girlfriend (who is now his wife) to race the GP's and succeed at it, then come to Americer (Reed accent thrown in there) and do well for himself. Yeah, I'm a Reed fan.

Leave Shyla out of this.

Yeah, there's been a lot of disrepect for the riders, as well as other members here lately. I'd like to see that change.

I generally think that the way people should post here be exactly how they'd talk to the person if they were face-to-face. That would change the tone of a lot of the topics.

NO FAN OF REED FO SHO BUT HE IS ONE OF THE FASTEST MX/SX'ERS IN THE FUGGEN WORLD. He is THAT good. i hope he races the outdoors...wanna see alessi kick his ass, let's hope he can.

one thing everybody should like about reed is he does it his own way...kinda like TFS. that is cool.

Then you'd better hope that allesi gets picked for the mxon, thats the only outdoor reed will run in 08. He's due in aus for his sx series this year.

I would never cheer for him to get hurt or anything, but i cheered when he broke. I was pulling for KW and now the points are closer, I don't see a problem in that. What do the points look like anyway? Are they posted on Vital? Can't find them.

I will never cheer at something bad happening to anyone, no matter what I think of them... And I try not to talk shit about anyone's ability to do something I can't do myself. <img class= " title="Laughing">

Sometimes you have to earn respect. Reed did that. End of story.
3/8/2008 5:57pm
I'm a fan of Reed when he is riding, but I can no longer defend him with the helmet off. He just has one of those faces you wanna slap, but he flat out flies on the bike and I respect him for that. I would still call myself a fan but I skip his interviews now.

well i haven't been to an SX is 10 years but was very surprised at the "booing" going on when Reed was announced. Hell if you can' t cheer or clap sit down and shut the f up. No place in the sport of bo birds keep that crap for wwe.

I remember when everyone booed RC at INdy how many years ago, then became the hero not 2 years later.

It's cool that Windam has won a Daytona SX... He will be retiring soon and he deserves a Daytona win in his racing history...A truly great rider.

Chad Reed was the fastest rider there and had some mechanical problems in beyond severe conditions for man and machine... end of story......

Unfortunately, there seems to be a small gaggle of Reed haters that cry and whine about him incessantly at every opportunity. rcm406 or whatever she calls herself comes to mind. Not surprisingly, many of them are in the rabid Bubba-is-God camp ... as opposed to the rest of us that just appreciate James's skill on a bike.

While I never hesitate to slap them down, it does get tiresome.

X2...I was there at the US Open when they made him wear that "King" outfit and lowered him from the ceiling. So many people booing because the it was Mcgrath's handle. No respect until you earn it in this sport I guess. Keep the boobirds in the WWE and have respect for all that race at that level I say.....but some people figure they pay good money to be able to Boo

Yeah true. you'd think he'd have to be around a bit earlier than that to get things organised for it.

When I saw Chad kicking and kicking and kicking and kicking I really felt bad for him. I really wanted to hand him a tissue myself.
