I checked a few years ago on the Blackberry and it was pretty expensive and the service was ridiculous. I passed on email and internet then.

It's about time I get in the mobile game on my phone.

Is the I-Phone really that expensive and does it have newbie bugs?

What's a good trade off on price - both phone and service package - and bells and whistles.

I'm stuck with Nextel/Sprint for the next 6 months, but they want to keep me and have made me some offers.

I've had my iphone for about 4-5 months now. No issues or "bugs" to speak of. It is getting better all the time. They have updates that come out and change a few things to make it better. There is another pretty large software update coming soon that should be pretty cool. I've had cingular/att service for going on 12 years now. And its pretty good. Always had great service when I lived in florida. Seemed to work fine pretty much anywhere I went. I remember many years being at LL's and being the only one that could use their phone without having to go up to the top of the hill. The phone itself is amazing. I've can't really say anything bad about it. The price isn't an issue really. $400 for a phone, and you get so much more then just a phone. Dave will be along shortly to tell you again how great it is. And it really is.

How much for the service?

Never mind - I see it is AT&T at $100/mo.

Phones are like anything else the best phone depends on what you are using it for. I have the Samusung i760 because #1. it is a Verizon phone and Verizon is the best service provider in my area. #2 I need a phone that I can integrate with my pc (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint) ect. I have an IPOD so I don't need an mp3 player or you tube. My phone does have media player and I can watch mpegs. As far as service goes I did not upgrade to the data plan since my phone picks up WiFi almost everywhere around here.

I've spent a good chunk of time with the iPhone, and the Sprint Mogul.

If you want a phone that you make 500 calls per day, while you're driving or at inopportune moments, get a regular old flip phone.

If you want a bitchin phone that has a great web browser, a bunch of neat functions to keep you entertained, and a quick, efficient way to check your email, get the iPhone.

If you want a piece of shit that functions worse than a computer with Windows Vista, is terrible for browsing the internet, and takes 2-4 minutes to read a half paragraph email, get any of the garbage out there offered with "Windows Mobile".

With the release of the iPhone SDK this week you're soon going to be able to use it as a VOiP Device from anywhere you have a broadband wireless connection. If you're working mostly in an urban environment this could cut down your usage costs considerably.

[color=#0000FF:3hko3g71]Anyone have any experience with the Voyager? I've been with Verizon for awhile, not the least because they give me a discount for the company I work for. Plus, they seem to have the best coverage for me from past experience, especially considering I live out in the sticks. I've used T-Mobile, Sprint, & AT&T in the past and none of them seemed to have it as wired as Verizon. Maybe things have changed now, though? At any rate, I've gone 2+ years with my LG vx9800 & have absolutely no complaints/problems, other than the fact that it's old & beat-up now. I have a credit coming towards a new phone & am wondering if the Voyager is any good, or if I should just get the newer version of what I have. I do like the full keyboard, even as small as the keys are...//TJ[/color:3hko3g71]

I've got the voyager, I love it. I haven't had any issues at all with it so far.
