So on my second ride on my new bike yesterday I noticed oil on my right boot. Sight glass was on the “more full” side but no oil had come out of the crankcase breather. Noticed there was a little oil what appeared to be coming from the main clutch cover. Not the main one that exposes the basket but the main cover that meets the engine cases.

After I cleaned it up at home I started  it up to see where it was coming from. Couldn’t see anything after I let the bike get hot. I did however see a slight bit of residual oil coming out of this small hole directly under the water pump.

For reference, the sight glass was completely covered unless I tripped the bike slightly sideways. Possibly too much oil from the dealer? Anybody know what the small hole is?

Take it back to the dealer they should be able to cover it under warranty.

The weep hole sits between 2 seals.   One on the inside for the oil and one on the outside for the coolant.   You can tell by what comes of the weep hole which seal is leaking.   That new, yeah take it back to the dealer.

Nice job, what was up with the seal? Wondering why it failed so new.

Newer kawis have been known to blow oil out the inner clutch cover/case cover above the oil filter housing and to the left a little bit. Generally on guys bikes that are riding harder/pros. The cover doesn't have a bolt mounting to the cases in this spot and the gasket slips from pressure.
