Was your opinion about the quality of the masses a very positive one before the election?

Not sure, more about the here & now.

IF small brains are the ones who want less war, a better economy, and to get a handle on ILLEGAL immigration invading our country, then yes, the small brains are winning. But if you want unfettered illegal immigration, endless war and our money paying for wars that are not our own, inflation that will keep everyone poor, you're are have a bad day. OR should I say the next 4 years.

So who's winning now?

Babble, babble, babble . . .

I know you're not allowed to think this way, but it is possible to want less war, a better economy and to get a handle on illegal immigration, while also understanding that nominating Matt Gaetz for Attorney General is an indication this administration is not taking things very seriously.

"Small minds discuss people,

Average minds discuss events

Great minds discuss ideas"

Original author in dispute

Why are you so worried about Gaetz? If there was anything on him Merik Garland's hounds would not have dropped the case without charges. By the way, how could you do worse than AG Garland?

Well it was only nine days ago for me and I can definitely remember that I didn't think the state of people was awesome, which that opinion has not suddenly changed. Lotta bad decisions from the masses and I don't see much difference between eating cat shit and eating dog shit, even though half the country loves one and the other half loves the other.

Well, different scenario for Biden. He's a shit person AND has shit policy. Did being a bad person cause him to have shit policy? Don't know, don't care. Need to move on, he's gone.

I hadn't thought of Gaetz for AG but there's things about it that make sense. We have 2 years to get a LOT of shit done. Gaetz understands he needs to be in high gear from the get go with the intensity that Garlands office came after him. Also, the house investigation thing? Him and McCarthy are about as much of enemies as you can get. There's a lot of partisan hacks at the AG's office and Matt's got an axe to grind with those guys. All in all, not worried about a single person so much as the agenda as a whole and that those in positions KNOW that 2 years is a very short time. They need to hit the ground running. The FACT that the talking heads are having their heads explode over this makes it all the more sweet. We had to eat their cat shit for the last 4 years, fill their fucking plate and let them choke it down. Another glorious day for conservatives!

I really don't think we're entering any sort of gray area to believe that rotten people do rotten things. Pretty standard association. And there's a lot more going on than policy, take Hunter Biden for example, we're pretty sure there was something shady going on, but oh where's the policy? Right, probably can't point to any specific Hunter Biden policy in any sort of factual known influence manner.

We want shitty people out of government because shitty people *are" the swamp of underhanded backdoor deals that we know are happening and yet struggle to prove, so about all we can do is go off of character and trump has shit character. But, I do agree his policies weren't really any more dumb than any other politician's policies. I really like the right-to-try policy that he signed.

Of course none of these policies are "theirs", it was created by Ron Johnson and signed by trump, but still, I'm happy he signed it even if it only impacted 1% of applicants.

He also tore into mayorkas about the bullshit at the border.

That'll damn sure get the swamp concocting sex trafficking schemes, and triggering other ethics investigations.

Then the media runs with it.

The narrative is created.

And we see here, who's fallen for the bullshit, hook, line, and sinker.

And for you kids who think he, and others, won't get Senate confirmation.

Might want to check who controls the Senate now.

Sealed votes and there are still some conservatives left in the republican party. Having full control probably isn't going to be the free-for-all it might seem to be, just like 2016.

It’s funny to me that all of the sudden the left has issues with someones character. Did not seem to be a problem for them 4 years ago when Biden was filling positions with DEI hires. Oh well. Elections have consequences. Didn’t we all know those words would come back to bite him in the ass?

Gaetz doesn’t have many friends in DC. And while that may seem like a good thing, it could prove challenging once he’s actually responsible for getting things done.  It’s easy to launch attacks when you’re 1 of 435; life changes dramatically when you’re the guy in charge.

The AG doesn't actually do the work anyway, they delegate. Not worried about it, there's a mandate to clean house. Gaetz can do that. And what makes it better is, the little shits that followed Garland's illegal orders are shitting their pants right now. All those political persecutions, pre-dawn raids, putting conservatives in jail and keeping them there beyond what they should have. Fuck them, and Gaetz is perfect for that.

I see the normal cast of pearl clutchers has chirped in. How ya doing fellas?

Yes this site is littered with my liberal pearl clutching takes....

Enjoy the next two years, because this approach is going to be met with strong rebuke.

Firing up the base and owning the libs is fine for getting out the vote, but when that becomes your guiding principles for your entire administration, you're fucked.

Conservative principles are sound and when applied by smart people could continue to gain broad support, but appointing the fox News sound bite crew is no different than the dems appointing every tranny and DEI appointee they can find. It's unserious and instantly rejected as such by people who aren't committed tribe members.

You can be a conservative and also use your brain. You don't have to believe everything fox news says. You don't have to believe every conspiracy theory. You're allowed to read books and not just Facebook. You don't have to be the walking anti intellectual stereotype.

Having an axe to grind should be disqualifying, not a reason to hire the guy for the position.

Pointing out that other people have also sucked at the job isn't the flex you think it is.

You lose all credibility complaining about them when you also appoint people who suck at the job and are partisan hacks.

You coooouuuuld take this opportunity to impress everyone with the principled and competent people you appoint so doing anything other than that going forward would look silly...... but instead..... Matt Gaetz and RFK Jr.......

This would be like signing me to a factory team because I can talk shit on a message board and then asking someone what makes them think that I couldn't win some races.

You can hope I'm great and you might end up being right, but probably makes more sense to hire someone who's done similar job and demonstrated success at lower levels, not just someone who made you laugh by pissing off people you don't like.

lol great movie. I ask people if they've seen it all the time when having political discussions. That and PCU were so far ahead of their time that few appreciated them.

You do know that he was an attorney before he was in congress. So he does have a better ability to understand the legal speak of laws. So if you were a professional racer BEFORE you were a shit talker, the apology MIGHT make sense. But as it is, it's just anti Gaetz propaganda.

If you can't understand that someone you don't like being against something isn't at all the same thing as a positive argument for that thing, then I can't help you.

Male the argument for Gaetz without mentioning the people who don't like it, etc..... I dare you to try. Make me laugh.

If Kamala won and appointed AOC to her cabinet, and conservatives all got mad about it and pointed out how stupid it is, would that make it a good selection? That's literally the argument you're making.
