Still sending positive thoughts and strength to you Gary..I can't imagine going through this...you have the power of Non - Moto boys and girls behind you.

Lots of love my friend.

Gary, words are never enough at times like this.  I wish I could  say something that would take away, even just a bit of the pain and sorrow your feeling.  From the looks of it, you are loved by many, and your wife was loved so very much by you.  She found a good man, and you found a good woman.  I could say your lucky to find each other and the time you had together....yet right now it would be ...yea yea yea.....right now it just sucks.

You will be in my prayers (of sorts) and sending my hopes that you will find peace and love through wonderful memories with Jan.  I can only hope to meet her in heaven someday.

Thank you Magoofan,

There have been so many kind words from you guys that I've never met. The help for me of Love and SUPPORT as i have been struggling big time, has been truly amazing.

But what is quoted in this reply is truly inspiring for me, and as I try to gather up words for Her Eulogy (I hope i have this strength to be able to get through it).😭

I just might use this as well.

Thank you......💔

This really put a smile on my face that the poem resonated with you.

Keepin you and your family in my prayers.   🙏

So sorry to hear this news Gary. 😢

Haven't been on Vital much in the offseason and just now saw this.

Jan was fighter. I recall when I was going through my stuff almost 5 years ago, you were so supportive of me, while Jan was going through tough times with her own health.

Much prayer to you G and I hope you take solace in all the great times and memories you two shared together.  I wish I wasn't peeling onions as I looked through all the awesome pictures you posted of the two of you. Those were awesome to see.

We missed each other at Red Bud MXoN last time.  I already have camping set up for Ironman MXoN next year.  If you are attending, let's be sure to get together and have a toast to Jan. I'll bring the single malt.

And, another.....for your Mom and Dad that preceded her passing.....

Hell, maybe we'll just throw the cap into the woods and see what happens.

Stay strong brother. Thinking of you.

Sandy, this is a pleasant surprise to see my HS classmate on here amongst these Motocross guys, some that I've known for close to 25 years but have never met except for one who lives in Phx. The LOVE and SUPPORT from them and You continues to amaze me and helps me as I am struggling bad as I am preparing for her Memorial this saturday.

The memories from all her mementos, spiritual religious clippings pictures are heartbreaking.

Family filled up 3 U-Haul boxes of books, and 80% of them were Bible's, religious spiritual type, and the other 20% were self-help your body and mind Etc. I wish I would have been involved with more of that part of her life that was so important to her but she was the type of person that would not force anything upon you.

I wish you could have met her as I do many others because everybody she met there was an instant Bond with her radiant SMILE and happiness.

I cannot think of one person on earth that did not like Jan.

Thank-you,

Thank you, Magoo fan. You'll be happy to know that will be going on her bulletin that we'll be going to everybody that is attending.

She loved the ocean as her family and friends spent many years going down to Rocky point, Mexico and having lifetime memories.

Whenever I went to California, I tried to make the effort to get her to the ocean and she used to love to walk in the wet sand and look for sand dollars.

Thanks 🙏

Yes, I remember that conversation and am so glad you were able to beat it. 👍

Yes, it was a bummer we were not able to meet at redbud. As it was so crazy and cell-service was bad.

I'm trying to make Iron Man, but it is down on the priorities as far as me making plans right now.

I'm just trying to get my life together and try to stay busy. Fortunately, I have a good network of friends but only one family member that lives in Arizona....

I finally got out and had a good smile on my face on this mountain bike ride with some good friends. It was a much needed, stress Buster release....

Magoo Fan,

I picked up her Memorial service card today and this is on the back.

This is at the Church that we were Married and where her Memorial will be.

Thank you for sharing this.....

Gary....I hope this brings you peace and comfort knowing she is in a better place and there is no more pain.

Gone from my sight

I am standing upon the seashore -

A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the
morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.

She is an object of beauty and strength and I stand
and watch her until, at length she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky mingle with
each other.

Then, someone at my side says: "There! She is gone!"

Gone where?

Gone from my sight - that is all.

She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she
was when she left and just as able to bear her load
of living cargo to the place of destination.

The diminished size is in me; not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone at my side
says, "There! She is gone!"...

... there are others on a distant shore watching her
come into port -- and their excited voices take up the
glad shout -- "Here she comes! Praise God!

Home at Last!"

Well done

From your stories and descriptions of Jan, that poem was meant to find it's way to you.      I call those "God moments".

It's a beautiful memorial card for a beautiful lady.

Gary, I won't be able to get out to Phoenix tomorrow, but I thought you'd like to know that I made a small donation to Jan's Charity. Donation #11392.

Godspeed, Jan.

I love how when things truly matter we can come together here and support each other!

Gary, many of us will not be there physically, but know we'll still be there!

I loved Her more than any person ever in my Life......

She was also the most POSITIVE and LOVING person I've ever known even in her long four and a 1/2 year battle with this brutal disease and the chemo, surgery and radiation that her body endured.

She never complained in Life, only once did she say maybe about 4 months ago, that "this is not fair" and no truer statement could be said as like her sister-in-law Beverly said recently--"She is an Angel on earth".

Well now they have one in Heaven and I am truly Heartbroken without Her.... 💔1000005546

Yes, Jan and I were stuck in Kansas stressing out over Uber, charging our phones and laughing, she was So Excited to go see baby.  I was so glad I had the opportunity to meet Jan, then her stupid phone, lol, not working when we Finally, After Hours, got to NY.  Jan was a cheerleader and always shared positive things to get me thru some of these recent sad times, times where I could hardly breathe.  Jan shared how much she enjoyed your guys' trips, even the one where she hurt her ankle stepping out of the car to walk the Pups.  I know 100% you made her Very Happy and she cherished all your great memories.  She got me to laugh, thru my sadness and I love her for it♥   It is always sad when we lose someone, but Jan was really Special and Amazing and the amount of sadness you are going thru, I can't even imagine♥.  You are in my Thoughts Every Day Jan♥

Thanks, guys. It's been a while. To say I'm struggling without my SWEET Jan would be an understatement.....😭

All of us have experienced sad times in our lives, but I can honestly say losing your LOVING Wife is the saddest I've ever been, it comes in waves and to add to it I have been sick for over a month and it turned into acute bronchitis and I had to take myself to the emergency room. I get bad coughing attacks. And I've actually passed out 2 different times, now that I'm by myself, it can be pretty scary.

Friends have said, because I've been so stressed out for the last 4 to 5 months that my immune system is really low.

It really sucks cuz I need to try to stay busy and was trying to do that, but being sick I can't and this is a very big, lonely house. I am just so thankful for my dogs. I don't think I could have made it this far without them, friends and my Sister and Brother-in-law.

I visited them in the Bay Area during the holidays as it was my first Christmas without Jan that she loves so much..... 😟

It was a very long and enduring sad 1800 mile trip driving by myself without my co pilot at my side.

I want to THANK 🙏 you guys for all your love and support throughout this and to falcon, for contributing towards Jan's memorial fund, for the local Animal shelter in her name.  I started to open the sympathy cards, but did not make it very far as it's all too painful.

Everywhere I turn in this house there are memories as she was the most incredible LOVING person I've ever known in my life and it's gonna take a long time to get over.....

Yes, my buddy bought some tickets. But that was back when I was feeling better and then I had a relapse to where i'm coughing again, so I need to get better, as that would be a long day.....

Should be a good race.

You're definitely in my thoughts, Gary.

Don't be afraid to reach out to your friends in rough times like this. I know the tendency is to feel like you're a being a burden, but you're not. I guarantee your friends would rather have you call them 100 times a day than to know you're suffering alone.

Dang Gary.   Sorry to hear you got sick on top of everything else you're going through.

Seen a few guys go through losing their wife over the years, it's tough to watch.

Still lifting you up in prayer.
