So many surprises and lead changes. This was the Mudda of all Mudders! Mom was thrilled and said she had a blast! She met Trey, Matt Boni, and Davi Milsaps before their races. Maybe she is good luck!

I might consider going to another Daytona event next year.

It rained so much, stuff was canceled, but Mom and I found the Bithlo crew at the Budweiser Bar and Grill and bench raced for 2 hours. Ran into Hoppy and Brett and hung for a half hour. Did NOT see the big lug. Races started 30 minutes early and they FLEW through them!

Watch the Speed show tonight. AWESOME!

Rain started again in bucketloads while the 125's main was running....10 times worse than the qualifiers.

Trey Canard is the real deal....was jumping everything until the last lap. Keep in mind there were basically no triples. Unbelievable! Villy would catch him a little, then bobble. Finally, Canard put him away. Congrats to Matt Boni for his first podium.

The 450 class moto has to be seen to believe that people could ride in that shit. At one point, 6 bikes were stuck on/in the track. 2 Minute lap times...24 minute final moto. They cut it from 20 to 15 to 12 laps because, ultimately, the track was getting to be impassable. What was amazing is the Chads bike gave up because KW's bike was sputtering and popping from about lap 6. Chad was getting sronger and stronger toward the end of the race - CLEARLY the best rider by 10 times. He jumped the West side tabletop with one lap to go and it just does no good to describe it other than to say he is silly good. Chad came around on the final lap and I specifically listened to his bike and was surprised at how good it sounded and what a good ad it would make for Yamaha. Oh well.

Damn that was a good SX! Shitty pictures....but...

Unfortunately, I was not in "photog mood" tonight, but she an amazing time. I do have a couple from the bleachers of the water and stuck bikes....I'll through them up later tonight. Troy Adams got stuck in that same rut a few laps earlier and left his bike and walked back to the pits.

I just got off the phone with the boss, and he said he has some crazy shots of this race....and some quotes.

Absolutely the narliest Mud race I have ever scene.

I don't think Reed was 10 times better, Windham was close until he got stuck, then his bike was sputtering real bad (from 5th lap on) and I think he took it easier so the bike would finish the race. I couldn't believe the bike lasted that long after cutting off like that. Funny thing is Reed's bike sounded perfect the whole race and then quitted (or he stalled it??)

wow, after watching that slopfest, I'm amazed that they both made it as far as they did. Reed's bike did the evidential flameout upon final movement.

Why didn't they bring in dirt to build up the race track rather than digging down into it??? With the water table what it is , where did they think the rain/water would go??? Sand does absorb some water, but gosh what a monsoon!!! Great racing??? Maybe. More of a survival race.

Check the lap times..... Reed was actually getting faster towards the end. OK Maybe only 9x's better. I am so impressed with him at this point.

Kevins was water-electrical - from lap 6 - it was bad.... Chads was water-carb suck. Big difference.
