My son and I were able to watch what should have been normal bike prep for Short's bike after the second practice. Somthing in the ignition/fuel injection must have been off as they pulled out most of the electrical system including the magneto.
Once they were able to get the bike to fire they still went ahead to put in a new clutch, oil and tire change and buttoned everything back up. All in about 45 mins. Short then pulls the hole shot and as you know, wins the moto. The last photo is his mechanic who had been working incredibly hard, with the pit board on the final lap.
Great job Honda and Short!!!

Short fades badly, and you guys are calling it a "great" day?? I don't get this place....
The guy was just giving Jay some well deserved props.
MA.........I have no idea WTF is going on with that kid. He's fading ( gonna use David bailey's saying here >>>>
Alessi drama aside, Mike fades and there are 5 different posts speculating why. Short fades and it was a "Great" day? Really?

Motocross is whatever lies ahead.
Motocross is whatever Mother Nature throws at it.
Motocross is man & machine.
Motocross is determination.
Motocross is fitness.
Motocross is tough.
Outside of controllable dangers, which sure the promoters should
fix and always look at, leaving the Worlds tracks ruff-n-tuff is Motocross
isn't it?
And besides, for the promoters it's less tractor time which saves them
doe.
Keep it ruff-n-tuff yet ALWAYS keep it safe.
After all, Motocross it what it is.

Pit Row
"has caught a lot of riders by surprise this year."
If they're surprised, they're not ready & not prepared.
Professional Motocross shouldn't come as a surprise to any out there!
None, except maybe the rookies fresh from amateurs!

Sounds like by that statement some have it out for Mike, which is fine, we all don't have to like everbody, just come clean about it.
It wasn't a debate over anything else other than a fading question. Stay on topic.
Just so were clear...
If rider A is an outspoken rider and he fades, we jump his ass for fading. Call out his bike, him as a person, his dad, whoever is associated with him.
If rider B is a "pc" rider we look the other way about the fade, and say he had a great day.
Got it...My bad....
I think we got it. Now you're just being argumentative. Bring on some new material.
I'm done with this one...Nice pics by the way...
Maybe Shorty gets a pass because he's the underdog, and not the favorite. That's my guess.
That disappointed me more that anything Mikey said on the podium at Hangtown
Maybe RC was right about Short to when he said he was not really impressed with his conditioning.
