Sorry, no photos or video.

I have NEVER seen Malcolm Stewart ride like he did on Sunday. He rode (I'm guessing) 250B Mod and Youth...maybe some other as well. He looked like a totally different rider than the kid I have seen grow up over the years. Definitely, he has crushed the next speed level, maybe up 2 levels.

The motos I watched, he was flying. I have never seen Malcolm challenge Ian Trettle, but he caught him in one moto (did not get the pass), but ran him down from a 5 second deficit on lap 1. He was riding the piss out of that bike....both the 250f and the 250s.

He almost made a huge blunder trying to ride a 250s in the youth class. After a last second switch, he produced a 250f in time for the gate.

There were several 250s in the 250 class, all of them near the front and under top riders.

Half dozen out of 200 250f's.

I thought there would have been more, but out of the top riders, the 250s's were near the front.

Haven't seen or heard much of the kid these days. Get us some footage next time.

top riders on 2 strokes, but was the 2 strokes competing or dominating the 4 strokes. Sounds like to me they were racing and not running away with anything? If that is the case then all is well in mx land.

My opinion: The 250s is gonna kill the classes that are available....and Malcolm is gonna win a class.

He was that good. Finally.

I reckon a a standard 250 2 stroke put out more horsepower than a PC 4 Stroke.
Am i right?

Pretty sure 250 2strokes put out about 45 to 47hp at the wheel on a chassis dyno, compared to "just about 36" for a 250F. the 250cc smoker "should" walk away from a 250F on a really high traction surface. I would likely bet that a stock out of the box KX250 on pumpgas makes more power than the #2 supercross bike. (not to mention it will run all year and only need a piston and some rings).

2006 250F dyno charts from a quick google search:

I predict most 2st riders, who are jumping into the Lites class, will switch back to the F, by.....let's say August '08....Fall '08, when the '09 F models come, at the latest.

Just sayin'. (somebody mark this down someplace!)

yep GL8's PC bike pumped out 44hp according to TWMX when they tested it...
and as far as malcolm is concerned glad to see he's doing well. BIG James has said he has more talent than james but james has more heart and drive...

There's no class where that will have to happen. It'll be stock v stock, or mod v mod.

No comparison on those terms.

He just has to get out of living under James's shadow. It is tough, when everyone expects you to ride like a that.
