Very quick to blame Star Yamaha and throw both of them under the bus. Didn’t say a word when they were getting cooked on social media for it. Then boom get called out for blatant lying once Webb & Eli go full MX national hero mode by volunteering with 100% Star Yamaha support. Star Yamaha is actually supporting three riders: Webb, Tomac, Anstie.
In my opinion the difference is Webb & Tomac are SX/MX stars. Thats how they became wealthy, celebrities, basically it’s their lives.
The Deegans are social media influencers who are lucky to have Monster backing and one of them happens to race SX/MX, another races cars, etc.
It dictates how they behave.

More lies. What Star said was that they wouldn’t send their guys on a team with no chance of winning. Jeremy was clear as day that he had no problem sending his guys in the right circumstances as Star has sent riders in the past.

Star has 3 bikes racing today. That gets them off the hook, no matter if it’s this year, last year, or five years ago. It proves if the rider wants to go, it can be done. Star isn’t the wall stopping them.
The video you posted, Haiden said Star would not send him last year. Why would they not send him last year? Because the team was lackluster and had zero potential to win. He did not say that Star did not support the race.
The fact that Star has sent riders in the past and stepped up this year debunks the false claims that Star doesn't support the race.

Yes I disagree with it when teams won't support the MXDN and have been vocal about it numerous times including last year when Star chose not to support it....again what does that have to do with the false narrative that you and others are pushing for the reason Deegan isn't there this year? I don't see the problem with getting his wrist taken care during the off season. Seeing Tom was the fastest 250 guy today speaks volumes for just how much faster deegan is then the rest of the pro 250 riders in the world.
There's been two versions stretching back to last year's MXON. Last year it was reported variously that Star didn't want to go unless they could win, and also that the Deegans didn't want to go unless they could win.
Weege and the Racer X show said recently - in their view of how teams work - that Star didn't have a problem going but were essentially covering for the Deegans by saying they didn't want to go. This is Weeges', Matthes et al' view, that is the view of moto 'journalists' and insiders. Go to to work DonM - Brian's got some special back rubs coming up!
One fact can't be denied: Haiden held off announcing surgery until after Eli had withdrawn from contention for MXON. There is no plausible reason for doing so unless the Deegans were basing their decision on who was attending. The possible argument that Star was waiting on Eli's decision because they didn't want to send just Deegan because of cost etc doesn't hold water as Webb was selected to go (literally on Deegan's bike) before Eli was drafted in last minute.
Finally, by the time Eli had rejoined the team - thus maybe giving them a better shot at winning - it was to late for the Deegans to change their position.
At any rate, the MXDN is awesome and the people who give a shit and want to be there are there. Those who wave flags purely to whip up patriotic sentiment against the Lawrences for social media clicks are at home.
Which is another argument for why a person who is supposedly an all-American patriot should be there.

Hey you guys! In case you didn’t notice, the best race of the year was this weekend, the pinnacle of MX, and Deegan wasn’t in it.
There’s a word that’s been going around here that seems currently applicable; “irrelevant”.
Not only does Coker affirm that they support the MXoN (contrary to anti-Deegan kooks), he says the investment is too much if it's not a winning team:
