Trying to buy ticket to take my son to the Pittsburgh SX.
Ticket master says in their FAQ there is a way to choose to print a ticket, but when I go to purchase it just says mobile ticket. Went to Tick pick and it says electronic transfer.
I do not and will never have an idiot device. Well I guess I have a tablet for my SxS, but it only has GPS chip in it. I hook it to my computer to get maps on it as I do not have wifi in my house.
How do I get physical ticket to a SX race? Printable through email or by USPS.
What exactly is a idiot device?
Smartphone
Why not use a physical map like our forefathers did when blazing new trails on their side by sides?
So you have no WiFi, no smartphone and an atv in your pic, but somehow on vital mx?

Hop in your Model T and drive to the ticket booth at the stadium.
They email it to you. You can then print that email on your space machine.
Have a desk top with CAT5 cable ran to it. Is a phone the only way to be on vital?
Hard to get physical maps everywhere or I would not have the tablet. Would not have the tablet if I had to have the cell chips either. I have a flip phone with no internet nor camera.
Where I can get a good paper map, then I do not use the tablet. Write my route out and go. I can read a map and read a compass.
Raced bikes in my past. I could put a picture of one of my bikes up, but none are as cool as a Roll Design Lobo. I can not ride quads and love SX/MX? Is Vital not like one of the last message boards for SX/MX? Most everything else went to facebook.
So anybody able to tell me how I can get physical tickets?
Ticket master FAQ says that and tells you how. But when I go to purchase the tickets it says only mobile tickets.
Will they be on sale at the stadium Oct 8th? I will drive the 2hrs to Pittsburgh and buy them.
Been to prob 20 Steelers games between 3 Rivers and Heinze, to 10 or 15 Priate game in the new stadium, always was able to get a physical ticket in Email or USPS.
I have not seen a physical ticket since Covid appeared. I have gone to the box office in San Diego and they do not give me a paper ticket. I receive a an email that I show an the entrance and they scan it off of the phone. I would not count on finding a paper ticket anywhere
Thank you.
Print out the mobile ticket that they send you? More than likely it has a scan code on it that will work on phone or paper
I wouldn't be so sure. The Ticketmaster app has a scrolling bar that more or less prevents you from printing or sending screenshots of tickets. It's supposedly a way to curb "scammers."
To OP: You can try calling someone at Ticketmaster, but I would plan on needing an eTicket. If neither you or your son have a smartphone, you might just be SOL.
Maybe you can visit Lancaster, PA and have the Amish drive you in on a horse and buggy.
Probably doesn't have printer if he doesn't have an idiot device....
Got to many Amish here in Ohio, do not need the ones from PA.
Think there is a big difference between using horse and buggy vs automobile then being a slave to the internet and the surveillance state.
Yes I have a printer, it does have a USB cable between it and my desk top.
Well if I can not go, I can not go. Only want to take my boy to see Roczen before he hangs it up. After going in 2012 vs the 90's I have 0 desire to go. To many Monster Jam fans for my taste. Preferred it when maybe 20,000 to 25,000 MX fans showed up.
That's that the local library is for.
I'm just joking with you man. I hope to make it to Pittsburgh for the race as well. I'm not too far down in Virginia.
Pit Row
Have any buddies that can buy you a ticket and you pay them? If not check with Ticketmaster.
I was looking at tickets for Pitt, but they were high from the start and have already gone up in price. The tickets for Philly are like $45-50 and the same area in Pitt is $95, was $70 yesterday and this morning before 7 AM when i looked at them. Pitt tickets are moving quickly, so if you are gonna buy better do so soon unless you don't mind being way up high.
If my father-in-law's birthday wasn't the weekend of Philly i would be going there.
FWIW I went to smx this year, walked up bought a physical ticket and walked in no internets needed
Calls it an idiot device, uses the same machine to look up directions.
Call the stadium and ask if you can buy tickets in person
(412) 697-7766
I looked on Ticketmaster and it looks like no phone, no tickets. Good luck
Thank you. Trying now, no one answering. Might be closed as it is after 5pm here.
flmotogoon Thank you for the info.
mx 219 Might see if I can get the mobile tickets on my tablet before I leave my house and take it and hope they stay on the screen. If you read my earlier post my tablet does not have cell chips. Thank you
Electro21 No harm no foul man, hope you have a safe trip to the race. Thank you.
ButteryWaffles I do not look up directions on my tablet. I down load the trail maps to my desk top. Then hook tablet up to desk top with USB to transfer the maps.
When I travel I use paper maps or printed maps from google. Never have used GPS for directions and never will. The places around my area where GPS has put semi's is a joke. Farmers having to drag trailers around turns and off banks with their tractors or wait awhile for a big wrecker to show up. Taking semi's down roads with bridges that won't hold the weight of the semi.
Now I can explain in my opinion why I call them idiot devices if you wish. That was not the point of my thread.
I did not come on here to debate the internet good the bad or the ugly. I came here to ask fellow SX/MX fans for a little help with my situation. I appreciate those that gave a sincere answers. I love SX/MX bikes and quads. Love to watch 2 or 4 wheels sling roost and catching air, rather it is bikes, quads, SxS, buggy's and or trophy trucks. They are the only sports I follow/watch in the last 14 years. Other than I took the "ex live in GF" to Pirate games, as I did not want her taking herself and our kids without me. But being as I have been reading this sight for more than 10 years, I should have expected to defend my views/thoughts because I am my own person.
The places around my area where GPS has put semi's is a joke.
Damnit this is just another professional account, isn't it?
You can get mobile tickets on your tablet, just not sure if you can bring the tablet in the stadium with you.
Well I have yet to see any $ for posting on Vital, so I do not think I qualify as a professional account.
My post count is undert 300, don't think I would be making big checks.
I am a coal miner from Ohio that now works in WV. Because the mine I worked at in Ohio was closed and the company moved me to a mine in WV.
Thank you, I will check with the stadium. Thought I would take my lap top, but do not want to drag it around all night. Plus they have a clear bag policy.
Pittsburgh has been selling at an insane rate. I looked this morning and the lower bowl is nearly gone already. You look at NY, Philly. New England and they have barely sold anything.
If you have not been since 2012, I would really suggest you try your best to make it to the 2025 round. I’ve been going to SX races since the first one in Los Angeles and as old school as I am, to me the show is much better today than it was 50+ years ago.
I miss the 2-stokes but seeing these guys race 450’s in a stadium is beyond impressive. TV does not show the talent level these riders are at.
Best of luck on figuring out a way to attend. If it’s not a sellout try the box office on the day of the race
Me too, they raised prices too after yesterday morning. I was looking at tickets on Tuesday and yesterday morning before 7 AM, they were $70 tickets, price was like $96 after fees. When I looked again at lunch they were $95 before fees, 133 after fees.
I refuse to pay that when the same seats at Philly are $45-50 before fees. I think I am going to East Rutherford. Philly is cheaper, but I have a family birthday party that weekend.
