Happy Friday ya all...

The weekend is here and I wish you all a good one. For me I'm looking forward to mowing my lawn and throwing a steak on the fire afterwards....time to unwind and de-stress.

Finally a few days without fucking rain. The steak idea sounds awesome. May have to take out a loan and get me one.

High of 51 tomorrow, hope to get the Harley out for the first ride of the year (probably a short chilly ride).  Too much snow to get on the trails with the DRZ, though.

Load that DRZ up and hit the Desert 100 with the rest of the NorthWest.

Yes, I’d have to vote for this. There’s enough crap on the roads to make it a questionable day on the Harley.

No matter what y’all do, have a great weekend and ride some wheelies!

88A66197-1E4D-40C3-809F-B68E407E71B9.jpeg?VersionId=R4zmK2OPVREz0NXkGFaBmQlkSWe’re having a GP at Shasta this weekend. This is the snow “just above” the top of the course and it gets to around 5-8 inches deep a top the highest point/trail system summit…

While I, personally, kinda like the challenge of snow on California clay…? Well, we’re staying below the snow line for the race so that we can keep the C riders on the same loop as A/AA. So, we’re capitalizing on some really Woodsy & Tight single track (especially by west coast standards) and have a 20 mile loop that’s gonna make the racers think they signed up for a 1980s style East Coast Enduro! Laughing

No chance that I’d go out to Odessa and be a moving road block without getting a single ride in yet this year. Not that I’d be in the way a whole lot less with more rides in, but I might have at least a better chance of getting out of the way of a few riders.

There are a few trails nearby that might be clear so if it stays dry Sunday I just may be able to get both bikes some exercise this weekend.

Doing the steak. Daughter will be making some twice baked potato and salad with avocado, tomato and cucumber. Garlic toast too. Gonna fatten up because I have to send a check off to the goddam IRS and then it's belt tightening time. It's only a couple grand but I didn't see it coming. Have to wait on buying the new table saw.

Getting ready to watch  the second Avatar with the wife. Been awhile since we’ve been able to relax and, unwind together. Nice treat after a long day at work. I guess it’s the little things that count. Enjoy your weekend fellas.

Have some good eats and go have fun tomorrow.  There are only so many Saturdays you get.

The sun is rising here and the day is going to be sunny at a sweet high of 24 degrees C. (that's 76F for you dudes)

Just given all my pets breakfast and filled the bird feeders with seed. Everyone is happy.

I'll mow the lawn a little later this morning after my run down to the butcher shop.

Next weekend is a long weekend, Easter weekend is four days long and Round 2 & 3 of the South African MX National championship will take place at Zone 7. Looking forward to that one.

Chance, I'm going to watch either Avatar2 or Plane, the new Gerald Butler flick tonight.

Stay safe and have a awesome weekend.

I have a full weekend+ slated in the coming days.

I'm doing some chores tomorrow morning and then it's full couch mode to watch the SMX finale. Sunday it's Cahuilla with the kid to shake down his new YZ125 and show him some big boy lines. Then it's a workday on Monday, but I took Tuesday and Wednesday off to go visit my mom and sister in Spokane. Sis and I are taking my son to see The Smashing Pumpkins for his first concert. It should be epic. I'm going to need some sleep next week!

Friday for the record books here. Ditched work and went to Pala with my son for his 33rd birthday. It was his first time on a track in awhile, and my first time back on a track since my crash in 2020.  Also 1 year old grandsons first track day. He was all enthused. My son was back up to speed by the 3rd session, I felt slow old and out of shape, lol but happy to be back on my YZ on a track. Then came home and did a 5 mile loop on the emtb at the SC dog park trails. Beach day tomorrow then bbq and watch the SMX final with both kids and their families. (3 grandkids) Sunday have zero plans besides sleep in and go for a mtb ride or check out the sand / sport show  at the fsirgrounds. Watching my kid get his kid into dirt bikes is fun to watch 😎

Had a clear schedule when I went to sleep had a Tee time booked for 1:30PM, we have had nothing but rain in my part of Alaska all summer and with snow coming down the mountains trying to enjoy being outside if we get 8 hours without rain.

Woke up to a frantic phone call from a client at 7AM, that went to 10 fixing that problem then just got more everything is on fire calls, Meeting after meeting soon it was 6PM and now I sit here still working at 2AM.

Hoping I can find a Tee time tomorrow or maybe go for a trail ride, I have only rode my bike twice this year.

Haha yep, it was good one it lit me up pretty good. I’ve been riding the mtb regularly, doing 100+ rides on the dual sport, (with lots of single track) bodysurfing after work, I thought I was in pretty decent shape 😂. 25-30 laps around the Pala vet track and I was worked, pathetic. Felt good though. It was a dose of reality for sure. The only way to stay in shape to ride moto, is to ride moto.
