The Peacock stream is just that, a stream. The difference here is that they did a simulcast with NBC and had a set amount of commercial time sold to advertisers for said NBC broadcast so they contractually had to fit them in.

The only reason you saw a difference in the amount of commercials (middle of the race) is the lightning hold.

The problem is we pay for a different stream on Peacock. They can break for the ads/commercials for the network show, but keep the stream on...

I get it and it pissed me off too, but you can't have two separate broadcast streams going when you have one production team. It's isn't like they just hit a button and everything happens, it's literally the most stress inducing environment you can imagine. I give my fair share of shit to Bondo, but none of what went down Saturday was anyones fault, just an act of god got in the way and fucked their schedule.

I don't give two-shits wtf you do in your bedroom....but this is SERIOUSLY messed up..

I only subbed to Peacock for the racing....but the broadcasts have gotten so bad and the general content of Peacock is horrible, I won't be renewing this year.

Always find it funny that people spend so much time being angry about nothing. Really, it's SERIOUSLY messed up? Stop being a baby. It's an ad for something you won't watch (but are probably secretly curious about lol).

All you had to do was cancel/not renew and say nothing. Instead you got yourself all worked up.

Is anyone in Aus/Nz able to sign up to peacock? I had a look and seems like it’s only available in the states….. getting sick of doing the YouTube thing for the Moto’s but there is no other option as far as I am aware. Any advice is appreciated. Racing has been awesome so far this season.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we've had races being broadcast on a network AND streamed, with one having commercials and the other one having continuous coverage.

Yeah it's one crew, but they have definitely done outros and intros with the stream not being interrupted.

The production doesn't cut any feed, it's the NBC affiliates who do so independantly according to strict time blocks based on an uninterrupted race schedule. That's why there is always a couple second bumper of no announcers to clear the advertisement bumpers. This time due to delay, it was on the production crew to steer the ship and break the feed for them.

Man, it's really not that big a deal. The money you're paying for peacock is literally peanuts compared to what you actually get. Take the L and move on, it won't happen next week.

Ah, here we go again. So since it's only a few dollars, we shouldn't expect to get what we're paying for?

There have been races where one feed has commercials and the other doesn't. That's all we're asking for.

I didn't come on here and start a new thread, it was a MINOR annoyance to me on race day, but at the end of the day if you pay for a service you should get what you're paying for.

And for the record, I'm old enough to have waited for Cycle News for results, so I'm not part of the instant-gratification generation.
