Best Boot To Protect Against Ankle Flexing

Hey all,

My ankles are a bit on the weak side. Too many ankle injuries in the past and the ligaments are a bit weak. What boot is the best at preventing hyper-flexing the ankle, say in G-outs or hard landings?

I've heard decent things about the A-stars Tech 7's.

Currently I own a pair of Sidi SRS.

Thanks!

I have had a small ankle fracture and lack some hyperflexion(?) range from it compared to healthy ankle.

I trust Sidi Atojos which have decent stoppers for flexion/extension. I could ride with them right after I got the cast off. SRS sole and toe boxis quite hard which I don't like(had Tech7 previously) but I can live with it. I will probably go with Atojos again when the time comes if there's nothing new on the marker. Now +200hours and still going..

Tech10 might have been second choice of course. I tried SG12s but I felt that there offered less support for ankle than Atojos

I didn’t even look at these new Sidi’s. I appreciate that insight! Almost ready to drop card on a new pair of SG22’s, but I’ll look into the Sidi Atojos.

Atojos or tech 10s. Tech 7s aren’t enough support the flex way too easily and the crossfires you have are noticeable a step down from the atojo and tech 10s for protection also. eBay and chrome burner has some insane deals on atojos

I've had really good luck with my SG12's. Been using them for over 10 years and have never had an ankle issue in them.

I previously had issues in my boots before, which were the Jett J1's and Alpinestar tech 3's.

Sg12's wear like iron as well, which helps justify the cost. Easily good for 3 seasons use.

Yeah, I researched the Atojos and seem like really good for preventing ankle injuries. Some complaints about quality control however. But for the money it’s worth a try.
