Why did Joe decide to “Not run for re-election”?

Why is Nancy Pelosi still talking about it and contradicting what Joe says…?

She has said she got him to step aside.
He’s now saying she didn’t…that he hasn’t even spoken with her…who should we believe?

Then there’s this: If 4 years of Joe was SO AWESOME, why aren’t we getting another four years of his awesomeness?

But, wait a second, isn’t Kamala just another “Joe”?

In her own words,

She had to do, what she had to do.

Kinda hard to take that back.

Oh wait, hers is the party of,

Changing policies, and backpedaling, mid stream in order to con you out of your vote.

Don't ever sell Nancy Pelosi short, she'll gladly stab you in the back, and right to your face.  But you've got to hand it to her and her band of elites.  The person who unanimously won his party's primary election is replaced by someone who never received a single vote.  That's some real Houdini shit right there. And with Ol' Joe signing off last night, in the true spirt of democracy, coup stands successful.

This is the most visible and literal example of the elites giving the bird to us commoners and hand picking who runs the country...and the left is going right along with it because "Trump is bad".

How they can stand there and claim that Trump is the "existential threat to democracy" while they are pulling this crap...its beyond me. Straight up hypocrites and liars...

Maybe realization set in? His debate performance revealed someone who is not fit for another term as POTUS. I thought everyone here thought that too? But now you think he should still be in the race? Y'all need to make up your minds...

Exactly.

Republicans: "Biden can't do the job!"
Democrats: "After that debate, we agree, we don't think he's good to carry us for another four years, who's next in line, the VP maybe?"
Republicans: "Grobble grobble grobble, you can't do that, blah blah blah"

First of all, the dem's were fine with Joe the veg as long as it looked like he could win. So there's that.

Also, how is it that Kamala is next in line? She is next in line in succession for the office, not for the election. Doesn't work that way in a democracy. They were backed into a corner on that one. No way they could pick somebody else or even have a runoff at the convention. Would not have been a good look. The delegates took their orders from the gestapo and handed em to Kamala.

Very democratic.

Other than that, I agree with your post.

I disagree with Joe being a veg... but I do agree with it looking like he couldn't win which as we all know, is what you want when sending someone up for election.

Despite the Dem leaders pushing her, people still could (and still have time to) say no but they didn't / haven't because it appeared as if she would be the best person to put up against Trump and based on how insane the swell of momentum picked up I feel like it was a pretty smart decision.

Biden didn't have the nomination yet, Kamala doesn't have it yet either, what would have been "not democratic" is if after Biden received the nomination they instantly switched to Kamala at the last second. Even then, should he had gotten the nomination and Harris been the VP choice I still think you could argue is democratic albeit a pretty shady move. For that same reason, I wouldn't have an issue if Trump dropped out before he got the nomination and the Republicans picked someone else.

The Democrats tell Joe what to do. There’s been hints that the Democrats have Biden on a chain, and have leverage over him. Nothing new, but they told him to move on. They’re done with him.

The Democratic Party wanted her gone as recently as February of this year, and several times before that...including Time Magazine, who just anointed her the second coming with their recent cover (a cover that she refused to an interview for, by the way). All of that "momentum" is nothing more than lip service.

Republicans: "Grobble grobble grobble, you can't do that, blah blah blah"

If he’s too senile to win, which has been obvious for the last 2 years maybe longer, why has your team been hiding his condition without giving the reigns to the VP?  Who has been performing the critical obligations the demented President is unable to meet?  That’s a legitimate question that we’re left to ponder.

Technically, Kamala is not the nominee yet but she has enough sworn delegates to secure it. BTW, it was secured before they had any real idea that she would have gained so much in popularity since her last attempt. Which, unfortunately for her, included some democracy. This time they bypassed the democracy in part because they ran out of time owing to the fact that they didn't have any idea that Joe had already been shitting his pants for 2 or 3 years. They first noticed it at the debate. Yeah right.

And yes, they "chose" to not have a runoff because it would look like they were trying to ghost Kamala.

The party bosses fucked Bernie over in 2016 to the extent that their campaign chair had to resign because of the scandal. The decided not to even have primaries this time in several states to ensure Biden's nomination and avoid any more scandals. Please don't even try to sell me on the purity of the  Democrat party's love for democracy.  They are firmly in first place in the race for the bananas.

I don't even think he made the decision. It was that cruel and unusual punishment bitch of a wife that finally got it through her head that he was making a fool of himself in public.  And it's really hard to stand out in that party for that.  Joe was probably not even in the room when she pulled the plug. He was downstairs in a chair and a knit comforter in his lap with oatmeal on his chin.

Is this not the most entertaining election in years?

The mental gymnastics the left uses to justify trying to hype up a Vice President who polled lower than fucking Darth Cheney as now being the savior of "democracy" is almost impressive.

I think this is part of the reason he decided not to run, not sure though.

A 200 amp, going "somewhere"?

That's kinda frightening.

Did not mean to single you out. You just happened to be there when I needed to vent. I rarely get involved in these discussions. I am being haunted by a 200 amp circuit going somewhere in the building which I cannot find. Shit like this really gives me the red ass.

A 200 amp, going "somewhere"?

That's kinda frightening.

This frightened the bejeezus out of me the week before last.  Going to have to be replaced with a new 3K amp switchgear ($385K installed).  Pretty decent arc flash. Because of what it powered, I pretty much had to shut down the whole production operations for 4 days just to make temp repairs.

Thankfully no !

It's in an enclosed room just off our machine shop and there was a machinist about 20-25' away but on the other side of a wall.  It was a pretty loud pop, for sure.  We had just had an arc flash audit/scan and they didn't catch the heat buildup but from what I am told it appeared that it had been gapping for a while now.

Don't want to derail the thread. Will start another one.
