I’ll never understand why guys like Herlings and De Wolf choose to start on the very inside gate. They aren’t good starters and ruin there own motos. De Wolf usually has enough speed to get to the front but Herlings usually cant catch Prado or Gajser unless it’s a sand track. They both get beat so bad off the line they are in last half way down the start straight

The problem is those tracks are not available. For sure there are better locations but there is no alternative in the netherlands at the moment with the combo of good track and a willing promoter.
Of the issues Arnhem has i just dont see how they improve the logistics. The viewing can be improved with huge stands or a big hill at the backend, but not sure they will do.

The Netherlands has so many more beautiful sand tracks than Arnhem and Valkenswaard. But most courses belong to local associations and they can no longer financially support a GP. At the GP in Oss Evert Dollevoet was behind and in Arnhem Dik Wikeselaar. These are both wealthy entrepreneurs who are able to financially support and pre-finance such an event. There are plenty of examples of cross tracks that have almost gone under to organize an ONK, not even about a GP. Better tracks than Arnhem! of course Rheden, Lochem, Markelo, Lierop etc.
Rhenen is by far the most beautiful track I've ever seen in The Netherlands.

Herlings is doing this for years already. Because he is no great starter, this way he can often turn really tight on the inside where most guys are running wide by the high speed. This way he often gains several positions again. I think it’s simply some kind of damage control.
I heard Lucas will go 450 next year. Will both go the USA in 2026 on a red bike.
I've been lucky enough to go a few of the tracks in NL (my favorite is Heerde), but the one commonality I see is that while the tracks i have visited are great, there is not much parking or pit space at a lot of them.
Arnhem for example, is so tight that the riders paddock is ridiculously packed to the point where big rigs are parked sideways on the sand berms, and private racers have to park way away from the track.
I think more than a few tracks in Holland would be great alternate choices for MXGP, but they would have to figure out logistics first.
The only place with adequate parking seems to be Zwarte Cross - crazy idea, but I wonder if anyone ever thought to run a MXGP during that festival? No shortage of fans for sure...
Valkenswaard has a LOT of space for the paddock, so I think they are still the best option. Lierop has a lot of space, but permits are the main issue. Arnhem has a lot of financial strength but lacks space. I agree that they have to work even more to make sure that people can see more of the track. They did create some more stands, but imo it was ridiculous to charge everyone 10 EUR more to be able to sit there. Just raise your entry price with 5 EUR and everyone will be able to attend if he wants to. Other than this, I think they improved a lot with their Logistics, camping, track, setup compared to last year.
Just imagine if Arnhem would draw spectator numbers similar to Germany or France. It would be total chaos.
Teutschenthals announced 27.000. This weekend Arnhem published an interview in which they said last year had 7.000 ....
