Why is this tread still in moto-related? It only very briefly started being somewhat moto related with Austin Forkner being sponsored by a gun company (and pretending to be in the special forces - check out the photo in the ad).  Wasn't this the guy that called veterans of actual armed conflict 'pussies' or something a few years ago during one of his unhinged twitter posts?

Anyway, it's since devolved into a whole bunch of people discussing their firearms.  Aren't there millions of other forums for this? Come on ML.

It's not an obsession, it's a necessity.  And your take proves it.

Sorry I don’t understand that take. In Australia there’s nothing “special “ about having a Firearms license that allows you to possess and use a gun.
You do a simple safe handling course that takes a few hours and apply, easy as. Unless you have a criminal history, I’ve never heard of anyone getting turned down.
Basically nearly anyone who wants a firearm can get one, but only after a process like applying for any license. I fail to see how that makes it special?
As for necessity; here if you’re a primary producer, or in pest management or the security business, then yeah, if not , then most times, nah it’s a just a want. The majority of the public here get along just fine without a firearm, proving it’s not a necessity.
Which is probably why I don’t understand the US obsession.

The "special" part refers to your statement that you use firearms professionally.   I took that to mean you are a police officer or other govt. official.

Whether that, or to respond to your info about having to obtain "permission" from the govt after justifying a requirement and meeting defined criteria, either case is repugnant to basic values we hold true in the USA.  It's not an obsession.  We are just not cool with a govt telling us they deserve firearms and we don't, or that we have to please the crown to obtain "permission".  The US constitution and second amendment are predicated on the principle that our rights (including the right to bear arms) are God-given and the amendment is written to recognize and sanctify that and to prevent the government from attempting to encroach upon that.   So, it's not an obsession.  We are just suspicious of anyone or anything that attempts to encroach on our God-given and constitutionally sanctified rights.  You don't have to agree with it or like it, but I hope it helps you understand what you viewed as an obsession.

Hahahaha ‘god given’ yeah ok wackadoo

Some barely educated syphilitic slave owners scratched it into a document even they in their infinite wisdom considered ‘law of the land as it is transformed according to necessities of the time and the situation’ yet 50,000 dead people a year and you still side with the gun lobby to not to demand nothing is transformed.

And the police do the work of the gov for the gov, as does the military so it’s strange when people justify private gun ownership to fight a tyrannical government and at the same time want militarised police undertrained trigger happy police doing the government bidding… the cognitive dissonance is painful.

And the fact you bring religion into your justification just underlined how rotten the propaganda must be to make you think that way.

Poor thing.  Seriously.  It’s sad man.

Maybe just Use your syphilitic document as a cum rag and turn to actual modern science, actual modern studies and actual modern experts to make laws.

If we still had the tech of the time motorbikes or this website wouldn’t exist.  Grow up. Get with this century.  Bro.

To be fair 99% of the people outside of US will never understand the logic behind needing guns to protect your 16th place in the world on the list of freedom.

People outside of US would consider it as a freedom that you don’t have to have guns for your own security.

But to take that discussion on a American forum and expecting that something good will come out of it is like pooring gas on the fire..

This has reached dumbgeon status now.

LOL, yeah lots of dick swinging going on here CPR. As soon as the title popped up you just knew the 'look at these!' pics posts would follow.

We do a lot of skeet shooting with ours, but you know what hobby we really love? Motocross. ✌️

A sharp rise so big that the rise has many think pieces and fear mongering even though at it it’s peak the rate Reached…. Drum roll please

1/8th of the homicide firearms deaths and 1/10th of the overall firearms deaths of the USA

So maybe even in a shocking historically significant Swedish crime wave he can still lecture you on the subject.

The Swedish death rate is a travesty that deserves attention.

Meanwhile the American death rate is, embarrassing, shameful, pathetic, ignorant, propagandized brainwashed by the gun lobby, sad, cruel and anti-Christian.

Yeah. To be honest…. I don’t really care to shed to much hate on someone I don’t know in person. I just hate when people want to make a strong point one side or the other for a tough subject. The part that is Mx/sx.

As a trained and regulated employee/er who uses firearms professionally I would assume his is right?

Meanwhile barely regulated untrained trumptard take they into Walmart to pick up some lucky charms? While arguing; ’well Actually I am trained’ but still somehow arguing that requiring training infringes on the glorious scratchings of a syphilitic slave owner?

I’m good because training.  But training bad because syphilitic uneducated slave owners (half of which were under 25 when they did the scratchings)

Have I understood correctly? Coz that’s fkn weird aye?

Sorry, 50,000 dead people a year should be more fun? Cool.

Sorry if I don’t think guns belong at the yuk yuk club and the that big sports games require special forces snipers —- that’s not normal bro, and you should maybe look into that….

Wealth inequality, the worst public schools in the developed world, most expensive health care in the developed world, and the fucking guns you wank over are what ummmm trumptards fight to hold onto. It’s a joke but it’s not funny, it’s sad.  Like really sad. And you want me to be entertaining about it? Grow the fuck up some subject are serious and don’t need to fun ‘party’ discussions.

Pro gun people, who argue it’s their only way to keep the Gov in check sound Like the smartest cow in a factory farm, no matter how smart you are you are still gonna become ground beef, and no matter how many guns you have the Gov has the might of the military and the police and prison industrial complex that bows to them for cash… so… dumb.

Hence you should fight for democracy and human right and not guns, democracy and human right is the key to freedom and influence — but when you prioritize the scratching of syphilitic slave owners over modern science and experts all you get is…. Snipers at sports games and 50,000 dead Americans a year… grow up man… seriously.  Some topics aren’t ’party fun’

Ah yes, all the Trump voters in the 8 major metropolitan areas responsible for 80% of the gun homicides every year. The Southside of Chicago is a solid red voting block and all of those drive-bys are hillbillies fighting over their sisters. I’ve already destroyed your dumbass over the economics of scale comparing your sparsely populated prison colony to the USA, but I guess you need a refresher. Remove the Democratic-run criminal wastelands of the major cities with mostly illegal gun possession and our redneck gun-toting rural areas are safer than most countries that arrest citizens for Facebook posts. Funny how 600,000 redneck hunters run around Wisconsin each year just to shoot a deer and the streets don’t run red with innocent human blood. It’s almost like there’s a cultural difference and the gun isn’t the root problem.

How much time have you spent in the USA?

Sorry if I don’t think guns belong at the yuk yuk club and the that big sports games require special forces snipers —- that’s not normal bro, and you should maybe look into that….

It’s funny when the Australians come and talk about things that are and aren’t “American” and guns.  Like you already gave up yours now you can be detained by the gestapo just for hurting someone’s feelings?  Australia is americas lapdog for social experimental policies.  It’s become a sad shell of what it used to be.

Weapons safety used to be taught to schoolchildren, all it takes is common sense and a basic understanding of the weapons mechanics and respect for what it is designed for and capable of doing.  But the TV will teach these types of people that they are an evil mystical tool that only specially trained people with badges can handle safely .🙄

Again, why is a thread that has turned into bad political rants and opinions on American gun ownership in moto-related?

And no mental health issues. And no kids in the house that might mishandle it. And latent fantasies of murder when the weapon is an arms length away.

So as long as every thing is perfect and everyone is perfect and everyone is adequately trained then guns are heaps.  News flash that’s not reality and the gun lobby prevent any requirement for training so even the actionable part is a pipe dream.

So… cool.

Yet the RATE is higher in red states. The RATE is what matters. RED STATES. So why vote a red state governor if they seem to have less power than a blue mayor…

Redneck rural areas might have a lower RATE of killing each other coz there’s fuck all people the blue cities subsidise their existence but there’s a much high RATE of people blowing their own heads off.  RATE is the important.

But reporting to racism is pretty fucked up, and both rednecks blowing their heads off AND inner city violence would be improve by strict gun and strict enforcement of gun laws… banning gun advertising and banning all lobbying so that actual studies be performed and you don’t resort to the scratching of syphilitic slave owners to make modern laws.

It’s pathetic.

And if it’s racism is your I dono… solution? Why is the USA gun death RATE higher than both Mexico and South Africa… it’s weird man.  And why not compare yourself to other developed countries?

America is ranked the 128th safest country in the world… wtf man.  wtf.

Grew up hunting, got my own rifle at 13, and use firearms professionally in my current job, but I do not understand the American obsession with guns at all. Reading this thread is wacked!

Are you going into work on Monday without your gun?

It may be hard for you to understand, but it’s Monday night here and yes I survived all day without a gun. Actually now that I think about it, I made it through all last week without touching a firearm, and I didn’t even have any anxiety due to the lack of protection!

I love how the words “Democratic-run cities” and “Criminals with illegal guns” somehow triggered your deep seeded penchant for racism. I never mentioned race once. Ouch, painting with such a broad brush seems to be the go-to for most liberals.

The narcissism around here runs deep. 😂

Yeah not racism just casually pointing out a 95% black and Hispanic area with a median income of $28k and using that as an argument for why guns should not be regulated.

So hmmm you don’t need to mention race to be a racist… you just need to go — look at that poverty stricken red lined area, it must be a ‘cultural thing’ and it’s for that a reason a I must abide by the scratchings of syphilis infected people why hundred of years ago would have owned 75% of the people in that area…  it’s the height of racism.

But just subtly replacing the word race with culture does erase your racism…

Hey guess what the two biggest determinants of crime are?  That’s right it’s poverty and gun ownership.

And trumptards want increased gun ownership and the rich to be richer which unless you advocate for printing more money, that has to come from somewhere… decreasing services and increasing poverty.

Meanwhile you will call ‘cultural difference’ but in reality it’s policy.  Yet you’re as dense as a 10 inch dildo but not nearly as much fun.
