Alpinestars has a new "regular" chest protector as well that has an extended back portion: A-1 Pro. 

Any protector with Level 2 CE will have lower spine protection. Most don't have side protection. 

The A stars air is a year off for us regular folk.

Your chest protector of choice with a Kidney belt that has Lumbar protection. Not popular anymore, but they should be IMO. Core support on a long moto or even more-so if racing off-road is an absolute game changer to reduce technique altering fatigue.

I've been eyeing up the Alpinestars A-10 V2. This may be the ticket. Lower back and side protection.

Just my 2 cents from a 190cm / 6'3" 90kg / 200lb guy. Sporty stature, regular shoulders, not a muscle guy.

I still search for protector with the right length at the back that doesn't bend over like a wet noodle. I want to protect my back dear gear makers!

All the comments for the largest size available!

- Alpinestars A-1 has a back panel length that would protect my 4 year old but not me

- Alpinestars A-6 has a proper back panel length but I could never get the shoulder adjustment right. The straps are way to short and don't seem to hold up well (velcro). Skinny shoulders may fit, but the velcro didn't hold up when trying things on in the living room

- Alpinestars A-10 V2 shorter back panel, the same thing about the shoulder straps as with the A-6. Could fit the shoulder width from me at 15 maybe. Bulky

- Leatt 6.5. Proper length and proper fit. But bulky as hell and heavy. Really bulky and really heavy

- Leatt Adventure. Looked right with the street style back, but as often found with Leatt products the plastic is so soft that you can fold the back panel 180° without much force! A half circle! What the f**k??? Why do they make a back panel like this???

Most companies seem to adjust the straps between the sizes, but not the panels.

Which is stupid but cheap to manufacture.

Maybe I try the Fox Raceframe, but I'm sick ordering things and have to send them back...

Thanks for the info. I've been considering upgrading my EVS F2 to something with more protection and looked into all the models you've tried. I have concerns about all the things you mentioned plus overheating. 

Did you happen to try the A-6/A-10 without the shoulder cups? I would not be running those and wonder if that might help with reducing the fitment/bulkiness issues.

I have the A6 and run without the shoulders about half the time and its super low profile.  They just released an A5 that is using their new soft armor under the hard shell stuff that looks even lighter but still is CE level 2. I haven't gotten my hands on one just yet though to confirm.
