Hadn't ordered from RM in a while - ordered two in-stock parts on Friday and they haven't even shipped yet.  Used to receive my orders in 3 days.

All changed when they became employee owned few years back. If I don’t order next day, 90% of my orders will sit there. Longest has sat for 8 days. They don’t guarantee their 3 day shipping anymore either.

What time on Friday?

Business’s are only open Monday - Friday

unlike amazon expectations.

If you needed parts that fast you could of always drove to the local shop and bought them. Most if not all are open on Saturdays.

RM has definitely slowed down a little, I used to get most orders in 2-3 days, now it’s 5-6 days. I still buy from RM, does anywhere else still have 2-3 day delivery?

I'm willing to bet you will get your parts Wednesday, Thu at the latest.

If you placed your order Fri, you may have placed it to late to process.

Rm atv/mc has always been great For me. Worst case scenario shoot them an email on Mon. They will get you ttaken care of.

Sidenote, whatever VItal did to the autocorrect needs to be changed back. This is insufferable and obnoxious.

They are far and away the quickest still.  It isn’t close.

Unfortunately local shops don’t seem to stock basic items anymore. I’m in Southern California and all of our shops have become giant auto dealerships/apparel stores. I recently went to get a few PW spark plugs from my local Yamaha dealership and was told they could get them in 5 days. Freaking crazy!

The Local shop business model has changed over the years. I blame SxS!  Haha. Shops are making their money now on insurance repairs, not customer service or by stocking parts for motorcycles. LIKE A PW SPARK PLUG!  They’ve made it very hard to patronize the brick and mortar shops.

Between Langston, Temecula and chapparal I never once had this problem with getting any part in SoCal. Yea I’m sure if you went into a small local shop in Carlsbad they’re not going to have much, those are more service shops that sell chain lube too.

No local shop in the metro Phoenix area that I know of will carry bike specific parts.  Tried it many times and it's almost always a swing and miss.  Its worth a few phone calls just to see and confirm, but I've never had much luck if needing a bike specific part.  Tons of shops carry tires, tubes, bars, etc. all the basics for any bike.  But nobody carries anything in stock.  Its not just bike shops either, its car parts and appliance parts too.  I blame Amazon and Shark Tank.......Nobody wants to hold stock on parts or manage too many SKUs

THIS!

Zero MX bike factory parts in stock. Been like that for years. You can get them in 2 days from the day they order and with most shops that is not every day.

I have ordered from them dozens of times and can't think of a single time that they haven't made it here in the three days.

His local shop would be Ride Now, they are now focused on selling sxs.  You can't even tell from driving by that they even sell bike parts.

Been the exact same for me over the past seven years. Anything I order in stock ships next day (sometimes same day) and is delivered the following day.

Probably just depends on your location. I'm in Las Vegas only a couple hundred miles from their shipping location in Utah.

My only issue with rm was I placed an overnight order that cost more than the part did. It was a seal but I wanted to ride so payed $30 overnight. I placed the order on a Thursday thinking they would ship Friday and it would be at my house Saturday. I would ride Sunday. Well it didn’t ship till Monday.

They changed models because people went online to save $3 on chain lube while they buy all their kids $3 drinks every time they get gas

RMATV has saved my ass too many times to count, up until just a few weeks ago with actually delivering when they say they would. They’re the only ones that get my money.

Glad you didn’t order from partzilla. I ordered a variety of OEM parts and paid extra to have them shipped 2 day (might of been 3 day). An extra part I didn’t really need but wanted on hand was BO but I I figured they would ship the stock items as I paid extra. Nope they won’t ship until everything is there. After not getting tracking after 3 days I called and was told I had to cancel the BO items if I wanted it to ship. What good does paying extra for shipping do if you aren’t going to ship it right away?? 🤦‍♂️

I guess I'm lucky.   I can drive there to pick my parts 45 minutes after I order them.

Ride Now Motorsports and North County Yamaha aren’t small shops.

It does seem like processing time has gone up lately, but they are still the best by far in my experience.

Took me over 3 months to get a brake rotor from AOMC

This is accurate, but it's not all the customers fault.  Dealers (in my experience) since the 80's have never really been customer service focused and parts guy act like you're an inconvenience if you need them to look something up or ask a question.  They seem to only care about guys buying oil and helmets.  Recently went into Edge Motorsports here in Utah and they didn't have the correct Maxima oil for my TE150 and when I asked if they had backstock he said the 4 stroke oil was the same and just use that.

If you can run 4 stroke oil in a 4 stroke tranny. you can run it in a 2 stroke tranny, PERIOD.

I am not saying it would not work, but it was a different weight and a different line of oil...so not the same.

Can we make a sub-forum for people to complain about the slightest inconveniences they experience?
