Loretta Lynn’s 2024

7/31/2024 2:42pm

Is there anyone that starts consistently worse thanTate? The kid does himself no favors in any race. He was in the top 10 in maybe 1-2 races they've shown on their journey to the ranch.

Starts are all about confidence. I don’t think he has the confidence to run with those kids, therefore he let’s them go.

Loretta’s has turned into a full on money machine.  Way too many B and C classes.  It should just be the best 40 riders from each division.  2 day event.   Also keep the focus on the future, last year the old famous veterans got more media coverage than the amateurs.

i have been saying that here, american motocross fans need to have a discussion about the youth racing system in america.....

i always get a lot of heat back because i am considered anti-american....as if i was inventing stuff or there wasn't so many red flags......i got the feeling that no one wants to talk about it, like they know there is a weakness, but they choose to pretend its all good......

the thing is, if it all keeps being as it is, then those constant rumors about every fast kid from mx2 coming to america will get even more constant......

Loretta's isn't what is broken about the US Amateur system.  The training compounds are.

Up and comers need to be racing, not pounding laps against the same 7 kids on the same tracks at a training facility.

People can say what they want about Deegan but Brian had him racing a lot and look what happened, he's got tons of racecraft compared to most of his peers.  Chance Hymas raced a ton too.  Proof is in the pudding.

Man.  Looking at the weather down there it looks brutal.  94 with a feels like temp of 104!

Do they do anything at LL for potential heat illnesses? I'm sure it's effecting some of the riders from the north and younger riders. Strange they refuse to have a pro national in the south because it's too hot; yet hold LL's near the hottest part of year. Heat illness is no joke.

You are in a Loretta Lynn’s thread saying the system is broken. Wouldn’t that lead people to believe Loretta’s is what you are talking about? Also, the system the last few years has been changing yet people still bitch. Motos are 25 for pros at almost all the big amateur nationals including Loretta’s.

They shaved minutes off motos today due to heat.

The reason for not having a pro national is not for the riders, but because fans won't show up making the event less successful or not viable.

Had no idea, haven't followed the sport until recently again. Remember DC saying the reason the axed Freestone/Muddy Creek was the heat. I heard they did shorten some of the motos due to the heat. Just concerns me as I've had heat exhaustion before. All these riders giving it their all not sure if some of the younger riders know their bodies limit with the heat.

i answered to a post, he was criticizing Loretta, in a Loretta topic.......still he clicked the box to quote just mine

don't listen to me, i am just a fan of the sport......listen to Ben Townley about the future of his son, who has just become World Junior 85cc champion, its in the topic about the World Junior race......or listen to Desi Lawrence about his 2, american champions, sons, its in pulpmx originally i think, but i saw it here on vital first...... just to mention the latest...... they should know what they are saying.....

dont even discuss this with me, do it with your mx friends.....i dont have a horse in this race, i am just a fan, looking from the outside, benchracing.....
