I don't know that Larry doesn't deserve it, these guys all bust there asses...

BUT...

There were some great efforts otherwise..

I think J-Bone and JGR have done amazing but maybe didn't have as good a year as San Manuel...

The Man brought on the 2nd Rookie Champ ever... And that's after last years 250 and 450 Titles...

Mitch and PC had a fantastic year... If Wilson was at those two races there's a good chance each rider on the team woulda got a win.. .

Can't remember the Canidae Rockstar guy - I wanna say Bob Something? but they got their first win and Tommy got top Privateer...

Brooks seems like a complete asshole but...

In his defense, he took a rider(Hill) nobody else seemed to want, whiped him into the best shape of his life and turned him into a title threat till he injured his ribs. Hill is the most turned around rider on the circuit, and certainly Brooks must have had something to do with that.

Im pissed though, as I only just tuned into the Mathis show tonight and it sounds like Brooks is bagging on Hill for being a puss about his ribs.

*{i] now hes bagging on him again about possible party influences.....Brooks wont comit to resigning Hill....[/i]*
Hill will be fine even if he has to privateer it next season.

He's won in SX, he's usually a top 5 rider with James/Chad in the mix when either aren't hurt.

Hill was having his best season of his career and it sounds ridiculous that Josh would just toss it out the window after all the work HE put in to get in the best shape of his career and in 3rd O/A just to throw it all away.

Makes no sense with the lack of great rides available.

Why are so many people on here bagging on Hill about him supposedly "Going to sleep".....Was it not said by Hill himself that he did in fact break a few ribs and just as they were getting better he reinjured them????????? Or do some of you have such bad short term memories that you forgot?

I agree Ping deserved it for sure.....Hope Hill shows up to race the outdoors just like in SX Hill has a very good chance of taking home the outdoor title if he's healthy enough to give in 100%.....maybe he could start riding with Canard, that way he could step it up to 200% .....that should give him (Hill) a good shot at the title

I just found this from Josh Hill's twitter

"I was a mid pack rider last year, and LB took me from that, to where I was a threat for a CShip until I got hurt, IMO he earned it "

I have to agree. If Josh would not have broken those ribs who knows what the title chase would have looked like. Josh is a great kid that worked his ass off this year to prove everyone wrong and with the direction of LB and Button had a shot at the title and will again if he keeps working.

Mitch gets two championships and stand out rookie performances from Wilson.

Not to mention all the privateer teams that had excellent seasons with limited support and budgets.

What did Brooks do, tell Stewart and Hill to ride injured??

Reed commented on his twitter that it was picked from a hat this year.. Sounds logical, there can't be any other explanation for it...
Thats exactly what i was thinking, LOL.

One other thing, there probably is no real way to measure who the best team manager is, that is a full time job on its own and not having it be more of a "fun thing" (the way it is now) would probably have some managers feeling offended when they feel like they deserved it instead of who ever won it. The way it is now, all the managers pretty much know its a joke i would imagine, and so they just leave it for what it is. I highly doubt the winner is actually treated like a winner anyway, it sounds just like a silly family game you play at Christmas time.

I dont think performance of the team has anything to do with it. They just seem to pick a guy each year to honor with it. The 2008 winner was Forest Butler from Butler Brother MX, they run a good program but race wins did not get him the award. I can't seem to find who won in 2009.
forrest was a great choice in 2008. His team won Toronto and took 2nd and 3rd. also he runs a top team. I look for good results in the future for this team. as a bonus forrest has to be the nicest team manger that i have ever met. Forrest always will have my vote. Watch 'the Highest Level' the BBMX movie, it is a great movie and shows what a privateer team goes through.

I'm pleased he cleared up the shirt-gate fiasco and we can all move on.

The Supercross Awards are exactly for what the title implies: Supercross. The Supercross year has ended.

Right. Larry Brooks was awarded the Team Manager of the year award at the Monster Energy Supercross awards banquet.

Thanks for playing. Smile

Your digging a big hole buddy. You posted before thinking and you can't fix that now. Maybe next time, you'll be a little smarter.

Back when they used to have the blue plate champ, that was a cool thing.

I do think having an overall number one is a nice incentive for guys to race year-round.

digging myself into a hole? on an internet forum? oh shit.

i guess my point from the beginning was, they shouldnt be giving awards when the year isnt over. they should have bigger incentives to race outdoors/manage a team for outdoors.

Another question I have for you guys that are posting questions of why Larry Brooks received the Manager of the Year Award.

Why didn't I see any posts questioning why Forest Butler received the Manager of the Year in 2008? That's a bigger shocker than a Manager that has won Championships and built Championship team's.
I'll guess it's because nobody likes or respects Larry Brooks.....most want to see him fail.
